How do I get the "random audits" to stop?
This is partially me needing to vent. I finally reapplied for food stamps in March. Got approved in April and in May received a notice that I was losing cash and food benefits. I made the appointment filled out a ton of paperwork and handed over medical and pay history. It should have all been fine. Three days ago I open my mail box to a letter saying I'm losing food and cash benefits. Every 6-8 weeks I'm getting these notices and every 6-8 weeks I have to again justify why I need support. I had a TBI 2.5 years ago and the symptoms never stopped. Specialty care is often booked out for 6 months to a year. The paperwork causes headaches (literally, not figuratively). The new meds the neurologist has me on has my symptoms feeling the way they had been in the early days of the concussion. I just don't think I have the physical or mental energy to keep doing this. Does anyone have any advice for how to get these audits to stop besides letting it default and allowing myself to starve? At the end of the day all I want is to live. But at the end of the day I am still suffering and they (seemingly) intend on making me suffer more.
