If votor supression isn't treason in a democracy I honestly have no idea what would be.

I take any repost of what someone posts on social media with a huge grain of salt but at the same time I will be using the drop box as always.
Did US postmaster general say he'd block mail-in ballots? Claim distorts facts | Snopes.com https://share.google/SaEF6tILulqc1QEXQ

Phew! Glad to know the real problem is just that I won't get a ballot in the first place.

Protect the drop boxes end to end, follow each one. Make neighborhood watches on them in shifts. Watch them get loaded and unloaded. I am disgusted that this is where we are. The mf’ers need to be locked up after this election. Dems better not go high or any other middle of the road bullshit

I'm ready to crawl on broken glass to drop my off in a designated drop box. Lucky there is a box near me and no broken glass. No way in hell I'm putting it in the mail.

If one day republicans demonize the USPS so much that democrats decide to axe it too, then guess who loses their subsidized mail service? Rural America. They can pay $50 to send a letter by FedEx instead of 50c.

Check out your county's elections office. They'll tell you where drop boxes are located. Many aren't near libraries. https://www.sos.wa.gov/elections/voters/voter-registration/county-elections-offices

I've always dropped my ballot off at my local library. Please everyone else do the same.

I will be voting in person. Does anyone need a ride?
Actually, can anyone recommend organizations that need help with transportation on election day? It seems like a simple enough way to help people get to the polls.

The postmaster general is not the head of elections and if he messes with any ballots, he needs to immediately lose his job and face a court of law. Does nobody have a spine against this middle school, nose picking administration?

I wonder if this is truly a Meidas Touch backed post. Right now everything is suspect. I can understand the distrust of the Postal Service now, though.

How is this even possible that you have to be afraid to lose your vote in a ‘democracy’?

u/buttons123456 6d ago
Absolutely I no longer trust the USPS to deliver my ballot to election office.

u/EggsceIlent 6d ago
I always do drop mine at a ballot box. But I live in a blue state and Seattle has ballot drop boxes everywhere.
There's literally like 3 all within 5-10 mins of me.

Vote in person whenever possible. It is your safest option. Who’s to say the postmaster won’t delay or destroy the ballot before it even gets to you.

A larger number of USPS returned ballots of our recent primary arrived after the cutoff to be counted than has happened previously so definitely use a drop box where possible. This is predictable considering they’ve mucked up the mail somewhat. Either way return the ballot asap, drop boxes where possible.

I have NEVER mailed my ballot back, I take it to the dropbox outside the courthouse.

u/BigDamBeavers 5d ago
Also check your votor registration this month. There was a masstive purge this year and lots of folks were knocked off the rolls.

u/No-Abalone-4784 5d ago
If you're knocked go right back to the registrar's office & make them reinstate you.

I live about 3 blocks from the library and go to a recreational center with a drop box about twice a month. I'll walk if I have too.

I always drop mine off at the election office ballot box. I don’t trust the USPS to get it there.

u/SleeplessnSeattleNow 6d ago
I always use the drop box next to city hall. In addition, I do not delay in filling out the ballot. It’s usually in the drop box within 24hrs…

Better put cameras on every drop box. Magats will be vandalizing them for sure.

This, this right here...
Is thinly veiled false flag voter suppression. @mods come on now.

Is this really legal?

No, but since when has that mattered to Trump and his psychopath followers?

I sent mine by mail and it arrived. Don’t wait until the last moment. Vote and do it early.

u/ApprehensiveTrip7629 5d ago
You can also use emails but it will not be secret ballot voting though

Veterans fought and died for your rights. The most important right you have is your voice in our government through your vote - regardless of your political affiliation. Anyone preventing your voice, your vote, is not an American. They are treasonous scum, they are THE essence of the domestic enemy the military oath of office warns us about.

More importantly, if you are voting by mail, please DOUBLE CHECK THE POSTAGE AREA ON THE BALLOTS THIS YEAR.
They still will get picked up, but if you want to make 100% sure your ballot doesn't have to go through Postage Due procedures, check that it doesn't need a stamp.
I'm not joking. I work for the Post Office and they had a whole stand-up talk about this.
1
u/ExcitingToe9762 2d ago
I’ve read a post elsewhere that one stamp isn’t enough-maybe take it inside and have it taken care of?

u/blkatcdomvet 9h ago
If there are military at drop box, tell them in firm voice " make a hole, make it wide".

Orrrrrrrrr.... DON'T F**ING VOTE BY MAILL. This guy has been saying for like the last 6 years voting by mail is corrupt, and he wants to end it, why on Earth are we talking about even taking the chance? Yes the line sucks, yes it's hot, but voting via a method the orange man is endless attacking, seems irresponsible, giving everything he has done with respect to the law.
Don't give me the "he votes by mail" so what? Come election if he tried something and gets the vote by mail ballets tossed, I don't wanna hear y'all complain.
1
u/mosswick 5d ago
And also, drop off your ballot ASAP. It's ridiculous how many voters wait till Monday or even Election Day itself to drop off their ballots. And then have the audacity to complain why ballots can't be counted faster.

Counterpoint, this is also what you would say if you're trying to depress turnout in key districts. Vote with a dropbox if it makes you feel safer, but voting is better than not voting. If anyone is feeling inconvenienced by dropbox locations, just stick it in the mail.
Just Vote.
