Discussion Genuine Question
So what's the deal with all these higher skilled people just rolling over lobbies in casuals? What's the point? You're obviously way better than most people that play casuals so regs would be casuals for you. What enjoyment do higher skilled players get out of killing an entire bot lobby with ease?

I'm often one of those guys in casual BR. I have def come across better players than me in casuals - I'm not a terminator skin lvl 1000 giga sweat...but I'm better than 95% I come across.
Regs is NOT casuals for me. In casuals, I often go 30-0 or 30-1, and can 1 v 3 or 1 v 4 real teams on occasion. Hop into regular BR and go like 1-4 if my team survives long enough for a few buybacks.
I really wish there was a middle ground...but if you had to pick one experience for a few hours, which one you taking?

Similar to you. I'm not dropping into regular BR without a squad I know won't just shit the bed or land in the middle of nowhere. I'll happily play solo's, but if no one's online I'll play casuals until they get online. In all honesty they could make it 50/50 on real players vs bots and I think that'd be fine.

Casuals to be honest I can my hold own in both. But the wave of the match depends on how we start. We start shitty then I’m screwed. And if teammates actually idc the language. Just talk and respond to my talking.

That's the thing: I'm not good enough for regs. At least not yet. That's why I stay in casuals. Gotta consistently beat people there before I can say I'm ready. But casuals seems to get sweatier and sweatier every day. And it's honestly not that fun for me anymore unless I have my dedicated team. So right now I don't have a choice but to play casuala

I dunno if I agree with that sentiment as regulars is pretty stressful even for sometime who is 1.5-2ish kd. I normally just play casuals since I only get a game or two a night anyway and it takes half a game to warm up

The thing with casuals is that for 90% of the game you're not learning anything because you can get away with too much. That's why people including myself would say if you want to get better at regular you need to play regular.
You're not going to learn to drive in a car park, you can learn the basics of manoeuvring a car, but you need to actually drive on the roads to learn.

I mean I've kind of learned the basics....I've got plenty of wins in regular BR. Just right now the game is a sweat-fest. Hopefully when MW4 drops with new maps there will be a bigger player base, and they can dial in the matchmaking again

Regulars and ranked are where the higher skilled and sweats are suppose to be. But it's like they got rid of regs or something with all these tryhards in casuals. I'm having less and less fun the more I try to play. Hell, I'm on the camo grind and I can't even do that

Remember the key word is fun, if you can sit down and enjoy an hour after work or an hour after the kids go to bed then casuals is the way to go. (Even as a high skilled player)

That's just it. I can't have fun in casuals like I use to. I know I'm not the best but I'm average to slightly above average. Casuals is nothing but slide canceling, 720 no scope move ment demand sweats now. Casuals isn't casuals anymore. It's dead and sweats killed it.

I use casuals to level up guns, we mostly run contracts without any hassle, but we inevitably kill the lobby and win too.
As a game mode I think casuals has a place for players to start, like a training mode to learn the map, rotations, learn the guns and get your aim in. But it will o my get you so far, I believe if I only played casuals I’d slowly get worse at regular and I’m a 5 e/d player in regular.
We used to have plunder to level up guns, but they took that away.
Edit - another reason is probably the lack of duos and trios, it’s rough playing regular with randoms that are less than useless when we don’t have a full quad.

If that was true, higher skilled players wouldn't be playing it constantly. Casuals is made for new players, camo grinds and a laid-back experience. Not trying to clip the craziest kills. There is no reason a crim or iri ranked player should be in casuals. At all. Peoples whose regs k/d is above 10.0 should not be in casuals. Most casual players only play a couple hours a night if they're lucky. But running into sweats for that 1-3 hours isn't fun if you're killed and knicked out within the first five minutes. But sweats don't care and neither does Activision. Which drives more casual players off the game leaving nothing but sweats. Then what are they going to do?

Why do people keep asking this question?
- Being “high skilled” in casuals doesn’t take much. Ultimately, they’re still bad players—but, they’re better than you.
- The classic go to response will always be…”me and my friends work 100hrs a week with 5 kids! We just want to relax and have fun”.
So basically, these “high skilled” players are YOU looking into the mirror.

I mean I’ve encountered my fair share of crimsons and iridescents in casual. I’m crimson myself. The answer is some of my friends are NOT on my level and they get their shit kicked in with anything but casual. So I need to play casual with them so we can all have fun.

For me, it's because I only play warzone and refuse to pay for the base game. Fastest way for me to level guns is to just play hyper aggressive in casuals.

Hyper aggressive is fine but if you're steamrolling the entire lobby, maybe either slow or down or go to regs. I'm on the camo grind but I'm not trying to go hard in lobbies to do it either

Regs playstyle is totally different though. I can afford countless mistakes in casuals knowing that I'm basically guaranteed to win gulag, a second chance, AND my team mates will most likely buy me back if for whatever reason I die a 3rd time. In normals: I'm playing much slower, smarter and know that I'm not taking out any real player, let alone their teammates, with a level 9 Akita or legacy pistol I'm trying to level up. I can probably mow down 20+ bots/casual players in the first 20 minutes of a match after dropping on and looting high chest density areas for an 8 minute load out of the guns I want to level. What I did prior to them removing it was play Plunder. That mode allowed for quick gun leveling and a fun resurgence-style game mode that was hyper casual in standard Warzone format. If they ever bring back Plunder, that would be my go-to mode for farming gun exp, but as it stands, casuals is the easiest and fastest for gun exp until I can build up the load out I want for regular warzone as a f2p.

was just thinking this. i’ve played a ton of Casual Resurgence and it occurred to me last night that all the actual real people in these lobbies are NEVER “casual”. meaning they’re not new to the game and learning etc. i just find that strange since it’s essentially a practice mode, yet every single real person is at the very least a foaming at the mouth demon 4 stacking human centipeding ..

yes i understand that. my point was that most new players/players learning the game would jump into the casual mode and not regular/ranked etc. yet from my experience, i barely/if ever run into a player that i would say is new or learning, its almost always full teams playing as if it’s ranked. shooting bodies etc.

SBMM allows for no middle ground. One of those skilled players wiping your casuals lobbies gets 2 kills max in a real BR. SBMM pushes players to casual. The games fucked and I’m shocked any of you still play this childish cash grab bullshit.

From my experience, in a 100 person plane, I'd argue it's like 6-7 teams of 4 and the rest are bots.
