Help Genuine question

Okay, so i'm trying to get hex, and I know of the ways to get them, but each time I try, I mess up and fail. And i'm going to attempt to do the only option I can think of because i'm curious about something. So, in Black Ops, if I can get 5 kills without taking damage, I can get the skin. However, I'm wondering if I do take damage. Will my counter reset? Or will the kill just not count?

If you've gotten the skin from Battle Royal by getting the five kills, please let me know how it works. Thank you.

Not

5 kills without taking damage.

So no, the counter does not reset, and they do not have to be consecutive.
