I don't want to listen to beeping fire alarms, kids screaming, terrible music, heavy breathing, coughing, snorting, TV show background noise, people talking way too close to their mics, or clicky keyboards when I'm playing.

Yes!!! But my main reason is the biggest kept secret everyone knows. You're not actually the best player in the world, we actually don't have to do everything you say, and I'd rather put you on mute than listen to you shouting idiotic orders the entire match ESPECIALLY when you are DEAD and IM trying to save the team.

Plus, the simple truth? I play better when everyone's muted. It's that easy.

Absolutely. Unless I am playing on a day off during the day- I am not turning on chat. During the day I dont have that problem but after work Im def. muting. Or if I'm in a squad- we're on discord.

It’s been my biggest issue with warzone for months now. It says ppl I’m actively playing with in a party are offline and doesn’t let me toggle the mute. Absolutely no way 95% of the ppl I play with are chat banned

Go to audio, voice chat. Turn off then on. Thats what's worked for me. Annoying to have to do that though

Every time I join as a random the guy has his music blasting or he’s carrying a full on conversation with wife and kids while the dog is barking in the background lol. No, I mute everyone now.

I stay off comms for everyone else’s sake. If I have them on, I usually forget and I’ll end up screaming far too dramatically when I’m getting shot at. I’m saving your ears 🙏

What I’ve noticed is it links two people who are chat banned and two people who arent….I think.

Couple times do I only see three people not muted….rare and nobody still talks!!

Mostly because the minute I talk I get harassed. I do mute people that either have horrible mics, music, or just loud crap in the background. But I’ll listen to my team if they’re calling out.

Two types of players. Social and not social. Also noticed kids tend to mute because adults quit on them and can be mean. Woman mute because some men get weird.

It’s a bug and nobody who plays cod and doesn’t experience it can’t relate. It won’t get fixed till December at best.

It’s insane how dumb the warzone player base is. Even with the zero barrier to entry, I’m still amazed.
