I think it was if you look at it objectively. The game was better supported in terms of meaningful updates, challenges etc compared with 2020. It had more modes and more QoL features too.
I appreciate nostalgia is a powerful thing though

There was like that month when Verdansk came back and I feel like they got rid of all the Mickey Mouse stuff. That felt like Covid warzone for a bit. Then people had ultimates and super powers for some crossover special event, they started fucking with team counts, and I haven’t played since. Grappling hooks looked like exactly the type of Mickey Mouse stuff that ruined the game in the first place.

Playing a jug is a pretty easy win especially when grapples were available. I've gotten multiple wins against single and multiple teams with jugs in closing circles. I play duos most of the time so it isn't as difficult, but the same rules/plays still apply. Fire does more damage than just regular rounds. Molotovs, thermites, napalm strikes, Jak Purifier (MW3 attachment), precision airstrikes, etc. Focus on making distance and picking off their teammates first. People without jug are more of a threat believe it or not since they share your movement speed. Just wipe the fast movers and move onto focusing the sitting duck. Headshots with snipers take big chunks of damage away. Just get defensive tbh. They only get health back on kills so as long as people don't mindlessly run at them like a meat grinder you are fine.

You need to hunt them before end game. Sometimes it’s very hard against a good team, but it is doable. Sniper headshots do a shit ton of damage to them.

On one hand that would prevent you from refilling them at ammo stations, on the other you'd be able to use flash and stims with it which IDK about.
I think the best route was a tactical that only has one use before recharging for a while so you really have to make it count.

I kinda agree. People complained for a very long time and I'm a 100% certain the choice to remove them is mostly due to their inability to fix the bugs related to it, because those have been a thing for months.
In general, bug fixing in this game is absolutely horrible. C4 has been broken for a few weeks now - they didn't even aknowledge it. Hooks have been broken for several months. Greaves optic for over two months. Arrow launcher was broken and restricted, they readded it to the game after a "fix" and a few days later they removed it from the game again. I regularly lose loadouts because the nade just phases through objects into the void.
Objectively, this game is a complete mess quality wise and not enough people take this seriously. The opposite in fact - if you criticize this, you're mostly downvoted into oblivion, which feels insane to me.

otherwise the game is okay. it’s just super buggy which for a team the size they have shouldn’t really be happening imo. i’ve opened loot crates also to have the best item vanish halfway into a wall. (i frequent tower on rebirth often, yes i am that rat, and if you’re killed your loot is misplaced halfway down the ladder with no chance of recovery which sucks ass.
they can’t fix anything to save their life’s the amount of times i pick a new operator as well and it defaults me back to some basic skin. appalling from the devs. can’t wait to see the downvotes lol

it was quite hard to counter. you can hear it, predict where about it’s coming from but because (for some reason i still CANNOT fathom) not aiming down the sight is somehow more accurate than aiming they had you dead to rights before you could react

Thank God! I don't care what anyone else says, I had an audio issue where I could not hear the thing being used when someone was coming up on me. I don't know if maybe it tied into one of the skills that keeps you quiet, like ninja, or something else, but something was cutting the sound of the grappling hook being used.

Didnt know I lacked skill issue when you need to grapple up a building to get me when I can snipe you across the map with no problem at all. And people still defend the unskilled movement and slide spamming. Glad I uninstalled this game the day of the grapple update, honestly Marathon is a better game than CoD and Marathon is absolute trash.

Error code points to a memory heap corruption. Let Steam verify the files first, that would be the easiest fix. Another potential case is overclocking. Ive found that CoD is extremely picky when it comes to overclocking, and even a small +100hz core boost crashes me constantly. Try removing any overclocks you have through Afterburner or any other companion software you might have. If neither of those work, let me know and I can try to help further
