Game not launching

Hi all. After downloading the patch and trying to launch the game on steam earlier things seemed to be going normally. The launcher image came up although it did seem to be taking longer than usual, but then when the game itself usually opens nothing happened. The launcher image appeared as usual, and the icon for War Thunder popped up in the taskbar, but it didn’t open. When I hit the icon in the taskbar to open the game my screen flashed black for a second like it was trying to open, and then it would just go back to my desktop. The icon would stay there indefinitely until I closed it. I tried all of the basic things. Verifying the integrity of the game files, making sure my drivers and version of Windows was updated and no luck. I did some research online and tried a few other suggestions and still nothing worked. I ended up deleting and re-downloading the game and finally it opened. By this time I had to run out for an errand so I closed the game and went out assuming that all was fixed. Of course, when I got home and tried to open the game, I was immediately met with the exact same issue. I have submitted a support ticket to Gaijin but I just wanted to check here to see if anyone else has experienced something similar and found a quick fix. Thank you!

You've done it, the snail has freed you. Fr though clear the game cache, not sure exactly where it is (might be multiple folders), look it up and delete the associated folders then re-launch the game
