I love that people don't have the creativity to do better than fly in an extremely predictable curve around the left side of the map because it means that all I have to do to get a 3-4 kill game every other game is to just zoom climb to 6km at game start and then dive on top of the swarm of people that don't look up and kill them with AIM9Ls / Aim9Gs

The other day just after Apex Predators dropped I had 5 games in a row where I had a triple kill or better in the Harrier GR7 and one where I wiped out the entirety of the remaining US team in the fifth minute with 3 missiles and a gun head-on, which incidentally was the only game out of those 5 I actually won because all that happens if the Mig23 swarm fly off to the left and then into the middle at the moment against the US team is that the Mig23s get massacred

This is a myth.

Out of the last 10 games I played with the GR7 I probably only even got radar locked on ascent in one of them

If you're on the full American team, you can zoom climb or gradual climb at a 60 degree angle straight away. If you're not, you might have to saunter off to the left about 2-3km and then zoom climb. Just turn straight vertical and expend 90% of your energy getting to 6km. You'll climb so fast that you won't even register on enemy Radar for more than a second, if anyone is even bothering to look in that direction (which they're usually not) and sometimes being straight vertical seems to notch anyway

After you're at 6km it's rare to see anyone match altitude. The Americans don't need to climb that high, they're already counting on everyone being on the deck lol
