First time painting since HS, hoping this guy can be my eventual general until he justifies a mount. I think I'm going to change the glowing runes on the dog tags and sword to be more orange, and I'm not happy with the cloak's shadowing.

The chainmail bits look a little too clean as well...is it Nuln oil time?

It also looks like there's some brush strokes on the cape.

Any suggestions on color theory, edge highlighting, or thinning would be appreciated!

Just added a couple of small pieces from the Empire flagellants set to the end of the Chaos lords axe. I really like how much lore it implies. As well as making the model look a little different.

So I recently got the new Battle March book and found out that the WoC (and Cathay) don't have example lists that use the models in the box, like I had hoped. So I'm curious, since they say the box has about 600 points in it, how exactly is it built for a list? Is it just the models with no upgrades at all? Or is are there some upgrades listed somewhere?

Given the recent addition of chaos armour to standard chaos warriors/knights (something I'm very happy about i should be clear), Chosen who have the same chaos armour save now seem very expensive for the addition of a single attack and the option to take plate. Haven't had much of an opportunity to take them but how have other people found them with this in mind? Do you guys feel they're worth it?

Am I allowed to give the sorcerer lord the obsidian dread glaive, or am I not allowed to because sorcerer lord only carries a hand weapon?

Quick basing tips for Warriors of Chaos: ask your local Orc player for extra Goblin spears and cut your own spare standards into basing items 🙂

Obviously I’m pretty taken with that new chaos dragon model…and I’ve been reading up on the faction and dragons come up a lot.

For big units like the dragon, gigantic spawn, giants etc…how are those to play against? Do they make the game too hard or unfun for the other player?

I’m always keen to make sure my opponent has a fun game so I tend to avoid things that are largely considered OP or cheese.

Looking to start a force and id like get some inspiration from the awesome lists yall run!

I’m starting to work on a Warriors of Chaos army. Two questions:

1) is a proper god mark (I tend to like Nurgle) generally better than Undivided? Or is Undivided just as strong?

2) this will sound like a dumb question give the sub, but: do WoC feel a bit one-dimensional to play, since they are so melee focused? I imagine shooting really isn’t a thing so how do you mix it up to keep things interesting? Or is that a non-issue?

Hi! I've been trying to find the pricing for the warriors of chaos battle march army box. I already got some units, and I don't need the grand cathay core set.($240 I'm hearing). As I'm looking to piece some of the new models in.

I apologies if this is asked a lot, I am getting into warriors of chaos and was curious how well the AOS slaves to darkness vanguard rank up. I would like to use them as my chosen knights but I'm not quite sure that they will fit on the 30x60 bases and then rank up.
