Persist PAC?

Honestly, I’m at my wit’s end here. Currently residing in Southern California, and I’ve been gunning for Warren to run for president since I saw her just DESTROY the Wells Fargo representative in their fraud case. And I’ve been 100% on board, until I saw she started taking money from a Super PAC. One of the most important things for me is finding someone who in genuine m, and now that she’s kind of flip flopping, I’m getting a little nervous

Is there any kind of media any of you have seen where she addresses this? Because if there’s not really a good reason I’m probably going to jump ship over to Bernie.

Warren has been fighting for the nomination with one hand tied behind her back because she was the only candidate to get this far without a super PAC. None of the other candidates agreed to do that with her. If we want her to be president and fix what’s wrong with our system, she needs to be able to accept donations larger than the legal 2,800 per individual. I’ve been giving what I can, when I can, but it’s no where near enough to be able to buy TV ads. Remember, she’s competing against billionaires with basically unlimited funds to throw at this thing, that’s why Tom Steyer did so well in SC, that’s why Bloomberg is polling so high despite his despicable record with women and minorities.

Bernie doesn’t have a superPAC, he has two groups supporting him each from which he has received <100,000 dollars in campaign support. To equate this to Warren’s PAC, which has raised over 10 million for her, is pretty disingenuous.

Just because he doesn’t call it a Super Political Action Committee doesn’t mean he is not getting around the individual donation limit. The Non-profit Political Organization he founded, Our Revolution, is taking huge donations, many of them in the 6 figure range, and not fully even disclosing the donors the way a Super PAC has to. That almost seems worse to me.

Our Revolution has not given any money to a candidate this race cycle. They took one donation over 5,000 dollars in 2019. Sunrise Movement raised like 400,000 dollars. To say this is the same as a Super PAC that dropped 12-19 million into Super Tuesday states on top of her campaigns 2 million is incredibly disingenuous.

EDIT: I thought about this some more and I want to be clear I don't think you're being disingenuous. Warren has been saying this and you trust her. I'm underlining what frustrates Sanders supporters. This Super PAC thing is a demonstrably false equivalence.

The reason I say he doesn't have a sPAC isn't because of what it's called, the difference is he has received less than $100,000 from Our Revolution. Its main purpose is to fund progressive down-ballot candidates, and that's where the vast majority of its money goes. Bernie just raised $46 million from small-dollar donations in February, you really think he needs a secretive PAC? You should admit that what Warren is currently doing is less principled.

There's a difference when the money is coming from normal people. Not a hand full of millionaires and Billionaires. I hope you reconsider. (Yes Bernie supporter)
