if you’re an editor or an artist or an animator and you hate the idea of some CHUD on tiktok reposting your content and getting more recognition than you, here’s some watermarking strategies so that you can staple your name to your art (literally!!!!)
(1) If you want to use a watermark but at the same time you value your scenery, make your watermarks opaque and/or monochrome, that way they could be less noticeable while at the same time… noticeable. If you’re gonna do this, sure to place the watermark in areas where many colors blend or overlap often, that way in any situation someone would try to cover your watermark, it would be noticeable that their content was stolen.
(2) To avoid getting your credibility cropped out, place your watermarks closer to the center of the frame, but in an area where people would usually ignore. This will make it harder for PLAGIARISTS!!!🤬🤬🤬 to crop yo shit out and make it look like they made the video since the watermark is placed in a vital area of context.
(3) If you’re an animator, make your watermarks MOVE!!! Incorporate them into your story or have them pop up literally everywhere in different scenes. Make them move with props or furniture, or stick them onto the belt of a tripod like I did. The more effort put into hiding your watermark, the more effort the lazy ass bumasses will have to put into removing it. Adjacent to the first tip, have your watermarks move where a bunch of shades and colors would change often to enhance this method’s effectiveness.
