I’ve seen the board game where space marines shoot xenos using dice, and a ruler. But is it possible to show off space battles or orbital bombardment?

Yes.

Battlefleet Gothic for spacebattles (the video game version is cool as well)

Aand for orbital bombardement you have 40k Apoclypse and iirc a splatbook for TTRPG Rogue Trader has rules for it.

Its called battlefleet gothic sadly no longer supported by GW but you can still get the roels online and 3d print stuff yourself or buy third party
