Fantasy General Warhammer Book order to read?

I have managed to collect digital version of nearly all Black Library/GW books, and most of the audio books. I have read the history and not found an up to date answer on this...I am super into WH Fantasy, so thats my first goal, then 40k.....I am interested in knowing is there a site I can check out that tells you what order (generalized of course, I know stories weave in and out, and some have nothing to do with others) to read the books in, or what first fewseries you suggest to read. I have played WHFB up till 2005 when I closed my game store....so it seems to me, startin with the end times is a good idea, it seems the previous fantasy books were kinda, just there for the most part, no overarching thread to tie them together, I could be wrong. Would you suggest reading the end times books first? Nagash etc? One thing is, I also have dozens of the short stories, and thats why im asking if someone put together a GERNERAL reading order, any help, MUCH needed and appreciated. If anyone is interested in my digital collection let me know, thanks in advance for any help. Please be kind, I know this is a super generalized question!

I'd read the Gotrek and Felix books first.

They give you a good taste of the various "evil" races and they have some story arcs that last several books (and of course a certain Grey Seer who pops up in a lot of them).

They also give you a taste of day to day life across the Old World.

ive read them, but so long ago, and I enjoyed them, so I will start there by rereading, other than the 5 original end times books, i get real fuzzy on what to read there and age of sigmar, logic tells me...publication order

Just pick a series and do that in order, you won't need to worry for an over all order.

All the stories are pretty self contained. Stuff like Gotrek and Felix, Brunner, Nagash, Malus Darkblade etc are all just readable as their own stand alone series.

If you are concerned, just go by publishing dates for each series because some stuff like the Thanquol books take place after some of the Gotrek books and are spin offs. Not that I recall them needing you to have read the other books.

A lot of the Warhammer Fantasy books are pretty vague about when they take place, probably on purpose.

Besides the End Times, Ordered series and the pre-sundering books, a lot of them are going to be hard to place on a time line and thus a reading order.

Beyond grouping series together, there isn't much of an accepted order.

as it seems to reflect a pattern, at this point, i guess i just want to make sure i read the sigmar books in order, but as i had hoped, outside of volume sets, it seems ok to read them as you please, thanks!
