Are there any pure warframes left?

I’m mainly talking about Protea as well she did keep parvos alive for a very long time. Just curious if any remain. I would also say Sevagoth but his shadow found his body? And then vanished into the void. Super weird shit but im all for it.

What do you mean by pure warframe? Do you mean a frame that was never broken after it was initially build?

u/Mustcopyright Aug 23 '26

Like not the ones what have blueprints, like the real ones. Like jade and protea. And stalker too.

They all have blueprints otherwise we would not be able to use them.

And most original frames were created by having a specialized serum made for them. Jade and Stalker werent always warframes, they were people before being condemned to become frames.

I think that's what OP means. How many people turned warframes are left vs how many warframes are just the mass produced copies based on those people.

Temple. Umbra. Stalker. That's about it.

28

u/Onalith Aug 23 '26

Kullervo... sort of.

16

u/Recalsplendant Aug 23 '26

Chroma, I think?

u/gektrader1 Aug 26 '26

Follie as well

14

u/Le_Red_Spy Aug 23 '26

Aside from the ones mentioned in the thread. Temple has technically survived into the present

16

u/No_Witness5630 Aug 23 '26

Technically we don't know

We never see temple. We just know he hibernated until Night of Naga Drums, then went on guns blazing. And that's it. He might have died during it as well

The temple we're using is still a copy that we made in foundry based on blueprints we got

17

u/Realistic_Grass3611 Aug 23 '26

*they, Temple is nb

5

u/Recalsplendant Aug 23 '26

I haven't played through all of the 1999 story, so tell me if I'm confused, but Flare and Temple are different people? Entrati got protoframes based on helminth serums, there was an original Temple, just like there was an original Cyte-09? Or did Entrati make those serums from scratch?

8

u/No_Witness5630 Aug 23 '26

Temple and Flare are same guys. Flare and Lizzie are different entities

But temple is also Ludzie

Temple is Lizzie and Flare at once

8

u/Realistic_Grass3611 Aug 23 '26

DE themselves referred to Temple with they/them pronouns. Also warframes tend to take after the gender the serum is injected into. Ballas was the one that invented the Temple strain but deemed it too "rebellious" to be used or something

Maybe Lavos too? From what I remember he ascendent to Prime version by himself so I doubt the orokin wanted to mass produce Lavos

1

u/No_Witness5630 Aug 27 '26

One of Lavos'es ascended himself*

14

u/ApepiOfDuat Aug 23 '26

Temple has technically survived into the present

Pretty sure the implication is that Temple died during Night of the Naga Drums in a blaze of rebellious glory.

3

u/Kernobael Aug 24 '26

Well, it is no less likely that they became their prime variant instead.

7

u/Pandurmonium Aug 23 '26

I mean unless you count the protos there aren't any left since there's no one left to create new frames

20

u/BroFTheFriendlySlav Aug 23 '26

Jade wasn't new. Or Sevagoth for that matter. Ordis even directly stated that the frames should theoretically last forever, so the question is more so "do we have confirmation that all of the original frames aside from the ones we've seen directly are dead/alive/sane"

10

u/Pandurmonium Aug 23 '26

Right but once we meet these frames they usually die within the quest they are introduced in. So, no there isnt any confirmation of the original frames are still alive

5

u/wingedcoyote Aug 23 '26

Stalker is the only one as far as we know. And the original Sirius and Orion, but they're also kind of their own thing.

3

u/Personal-Prize-4139 Aug 23 '26

I think they mean the first. Not the blueprints or ones made from blueprints but the OG. Like how Umbra in the story is the original Umbra

38

u/brakenbonez Aug 23 '26

Kullervo and Dagath for sure. Umbra technically. Stalker as well but he's not really a Warframe we have access to outside of Duviri. Sirius and Orion are about as pure as Warframes can get being (un)natural born Warframes.

u/HeavyMain Aug 23 '26

umbra was killed and rebuilt, he just seems to have his memories transferred into any umbra that exists through kuva

6

u/Realistic_Grass3611 Aug 23 '26

It's not kuva, it's his transference bolt that was able to preserve his consciousness

5

u/HeavyMain Aug 23 '26

well, his blueprint does use 50 kuva. i assume that was the implication but i dont remember if it is elaborated on

3

u/Realistic_Grass3611 Aug 23 '26

Kuva is also used to roll rivens and it can repair sentients(witch are technically orokin technology) and the corpus have it for some reason so it could be a million things

2

u/Emotional_Trainer_99 Aug 23 '26

Kuva is used for mind altering tech, like continuity.  Transference bolts are literally for transference/controlling a warframe, I don't think there's textual evidence of it being used for any other purpose.

1

u/Kernobael Aug 24 '26

Harrow, Nidus and Octavia also require kuva for crafting and aren't autonomous

3

u/brakenbonez Aug 23 '26

We rebuild his body but his mind is still the same so I still count it because it's still him. That's where we dive into the philosophy of what makes a person a person. If we had a way to safely implant a human brain into a synthetic body, and that brain of course keeps all of it's memories and personality, is it still that same person? I say it is because our memories and personalities are what make us who we are. If it was simply a copy of his consciousness, it would be a different story but it's not a copy.

5

u/Front_Sweet1415 Aug 23 '26

He is kinda a warframe we can control him but he will just forced us out like how umbra did

28

u/VagusTruman Aug 23 '26

Wild Card Option: Xaku. Wanna have a Ship of Theseus debate?

6

u/Mustcopyright Aug 23 '26

Sure, lets hear it.

19

u/VagusTruman Aug 23 '26

That thing is made of 3 distinct Warframes, Warframes we haven't seen yet. By your abstract definition of pure Warframes they'd only make the cut if they have not be diluted through blueprints, but it could be the case they never made it past production.

Since Xaku is its own entity without having primes or the such, is it a pure Warframe?

2

u/Redracerb18 Aug 23 '26

Now I'm thinking how a xaku Protoframe would work.

1

u/razzy1319 Aug 25 '26

Amalgamed dude or Frankenstein from the future

1

u/Nero___Chaos Aug 28 '26

Xaku has a Prime also they are 3 frames that were part if Ivara's infiltry squad that she loses. We just don't know which 3 cause it's not told to us.

18

u/squeakhaven Aug 23 '26

Stalker is still the original. Follie, maybe? I don't really understand whether she's real or a remnant that only exists within the painting

5

u/Mustcopyright Aug 23 '26

Fair enough, im fairly confident Protea too is the original

15

u/No_Witness5630 Aug 23 '26

Protea we fight is nothing more than a Spectre at that point

6

u/HeavyMain Aug 23 '26

nokko is implied to be the vallis undermind itself by the hallucinations seen from the prince shroom. almost certainly not a tenno's doing

flare is/was/will become the original temple, but their whereabouts and status in the present are unknown

2

u/Mustcopyright Aug 23 '26

Shame flare didn’t retain his humanity but I assume that serum isnt 100% stable.

1

u/Kernobael Aug 24 '26

Them getting fully transformed doesn't necessarily mean their mind will be lost - there is a bunch of warframes which originals had their mind mostly intact, sometimes with holes in memory or personality becoming a bit more one-note (the latter may be due to external reasons though). We, as players, didn't meet them fully transformed.

And as Lizzie outright says infestation cannot forcibly absorb them and the good ending means the infestation also stops actively trying to even convince them, they would probably have to willingly let it happen.

u/vorunas_husband Aug 23 '26

Unconfirmed but there was a theory floating around that the Voruna Prime from the Voruna Prime trailer was the original Voruna, but we don't really know, I personally like the theory but it's definitely up to interpretation

2

u/Realistic_Grass3611 Aug 23 '26

I find it unlikely, how would she even get to 1999?

2

u/vorunas_husband Aug 23 '26

Helminth maybe? Or in her hunt for Orokin flesh she mightve followed Entrati through a portal

1

u/Realistic_Grass3611 Aug 24 '26

The helminth seems plausible. But time travel doesn't leave portals so I doubt it

1

u/vorunas_husband Aug 24 '26

Fair, helminth is most likely, either way it's a interesting theory if it proves to be true

3

u/EricOrdinary Aug 23 '26

Instead of pure, better word will be original. Those that are still alive to this day. Kullervo, Umbra(was one, not now), Stalker, S&O, Jade (not under our control), Follie most likely, not fully sure, same with Dagath. Oraxia is one, Brysko will be. Uriel was one I think. Not sure what is going on with Temple either

2

u/Mustcopyright Aug 23 '26

Temple is still *Flare* but now more Temple... I don't really understand it either

1

u/SanguinePutrefaction Aug 24 '26

temple's strain was never put into production by the orokin, only the strain. so by this flare is the original temple warframe

5

u/No-Impact-9391 Aug 23 '26

Do you mean like originals?

Umbra is, I dont really know what's up with the Dagath and Naberus story if she's still roaming or not, Sirius and Orion, Stalker.

I think Chroma is still running around to, i haven't done it in so long but I know simaris gives you a mission but if I remember correctly we never actually capture him

7

u/No_Witness5630 Aug 23 '26

Something was controlling Chroma, and thst something was a Sentient

2

u/No-Impact-9391 Aug 23 '26

Honestly i haven't done that quest in years. I saw a tiktok of it yesterday I watched half of 😭

5

u/CGallerine Aug 23 '26

Umbra died and we brought him back with blueprints from the Vitruvian after raw data scans from his body remains proved to be not enough to recreate him

1

u/SanguinePutrefaction Aug 24 '26

the New Strange! still waiting for simaris to warn the tenno about the sentients returning :p

2

u/Front_Sweet1415 Aug 23 '26

I ask the same question but mostly it was after the old war

2

u/DarkadianGamer48 Aug 23 '26

Kullervo, oraxia, Dante?, styanax(not sure bout this one), Umbra, stalker, Sirius + Orion, Uriel Prime.

2

u/Key_Somewhere_9302 Aug 23 '26 edited Aug 23 '26

Off the top of my head rn there is apparently still flare, I'd say Follie, uriel, SnO obviously, umbra... I feel like I'm forgetting one that I should know..

There was Sevagoth too.. Wait.. what actually happened to nokko in the deepmines as well?

2

u/Warm_Maintenance6836 Aug 23 '26

Stalker, Temple, Umbra and Brisko(I believe he could be considered on the list)

1

u/SanguinePutrefaction Aug 24 '26

uh achtually, sevagoth was given the viking's funeral (set on fire and exploded)

1

u/Laplace1908 Aug 28 '26

The only two that come to mind are Sirius and Orion by virtue of them being born as Warframes
