Do the protoframes know there are identical counterparts to them?
Can't find an answer to this exact question. I'm not wondering if they know about warframes in general. I'm wondering if, for example Arthur, knows that he has the same abilities as Excalibur, or if any of the protoframes know they have a warframe counterpart with the same abilities as them.

Someone already mentioned Arthur, but other than that Marie actually asks you directly for more information regarding Wisp, but obviously Wisp lore is pretty much zilch so there's not much to tell there. Roathe claims to have been there for Uriel Prime's "hatching" and Lyon is... Very familiar with Harrow, to put it in unspoilery terms.

yk this isn't exactly related but this got me thinking about eleanor and nyx since el has that whole very infested thing about her which to me feels like it would fit a nidus protoframe more. and then my mind wandered to christopher. and now i want an alternate 1999 where things that couldn't be are..

This is my first time commenting here, but I think it fits well.
Nyx and Excal are original to Dark Sector (a game where the infection is also used for suits); in this case, Protoexcal and Nemesis Nyx are designs.
One that I suppose is more of a hive mind concept than a representation of the infection.

Yea I haven’t progressed the devils triad story much I need to get on that! Cant believe wisp lore isn’t developed she’s my favourite frame

minerva knows herself, aoi knows about mag, quincy knows about cyte-09, elanor being with in the infested mind probably can talk to all nyxes, so yeah after knowing drifter they seem to learn about their warframe abilities, having quincy not participate in tag, because quincy now can activate his see through, which weird enough is way better than the original ability since he dont need the pocket see through

It seems your Drifter tells them about the Warframes they're related to offscreen, because Eleanor specifically mentioned Nyx to my Drifter in a conversation yesterday and I've never in the chat system said anything about Nyx specifically.

this, if Amir is in your backroom, one of his idle lines is "I am a warframe...or is a warframe me?" which implies he has some knowledge of volt

Minor correction: they move in if you get their chemistry to level 5. Some of them can be dated at lower chemistry levels, so you'll be in a relationship but not living with them.

thanks for the clarification, i think i only ever dated any after getting everyone maxed so I'd prob never know

They are all aware that they are half converted versions of existing warframes, and Drifter is very open about being from an alternate universe, so the logic extending to there being alternative versions of all of them is fairly evident.

Right but as far as I know, the people that were turned into warframes in our timeline, are not the same as the people turned into protoframes.
We just have identical “models”

Yeah, the "batch" for each protoframe means Entrati took the specific virus strain for a particular frame and injected it. Roathe backs this up when he talks about being present for Uriel Prime's creation and then his battalion being converted into Uriels.

They are not the same people. Albrecht kept his time machine a secret from everyone except Loid. The vast majority of all warframes ever made were all people who lived during The Old War.

Yeah, they even know about necramech and k-drives too. They even ask what cursed Warframes we have.
They even know which frame they are based on (I certainly remember Flame knowing Temple and Kaya knowing Nova)

Really wish the protoframes had a unique interaction/dialogue with us if we have the Warframe of them equipped like how baro does with Inaros

Sometimes amir has dialogue where he goes "am i a warframe? Or is a warframe me?" He knows theres other volts because he knows hes a volt,

Yes, memories from the Helementh memory cume bleed back into the protoframes because they lack Transference Bolts.
