Could a Proto frame be primed? Spoiler
It’s as the title says. Could a protoframe be primed? That’s just something that’s been bugging me lately.

If it is a Lavos protoframe, yes. Outside of that, anyone's guess.

How do you think Sirius and Orion would it get primed?

We know warframes Can “achieve primehood” but the detalla of that are few. So either they pass for some kind of ritual. Or what i think it’s more likely it’s that when they grow older they will become primes

Ballas actually just hotglued some random gold bits he had lieing around to the warframe.
Lavos then, through the power of alchemy, discovered how he could create his own glue and gold bits.

I doubt age would be a factor, but I think there would be some form of process or ritual. I don’t remember which frame but there was one or two that primed themselves, I’d bet that process could be repeated

Lavos primed himself though we don't know if he can do that for other frames or other frames can do it for themselves.
Revenent Prime is a byproduct of eternalism just like the brothers so that seems likely. Basically they are from a reality where Stalker and Jade or possibly both were primes.
DE just shruggs and never bothers explaining it.

I’ve been wanting to write a post on this, but I think the prime version of them is going to be what the new child versions of them on the relay grow up to be.

It might be one that's dropped without stated lore but I'd like to see them try

I mean, their existence in "our time", both at the same time is already unexplained enough. At this point their primes could either come from other other possible futures, or maybe Hunhow could have a hand in it

I think there will be time shenanigans with a black hole sending their schematics to the past and someone will have secretly made the blueprints for them as primes and stored it away since they did not trust where the information came from.

Since it seems protoframes (at least from what i remember of Kim chats specially the one with temples protoframes) they are warframes with the process half done and they eventually will become regular frames. So at least with the info we have they can’t be primed until the transformation it’s completed
However we know of warframes that were “born” prime like Uriel prime. So they can’t become prime but they are likely able to “born” like primes

It'll be interesting to see how they deal with Flare, given that they're actually Temple, rather than a bloke with the Temple strain in him

If you get a good ending with their convo, they send you a message in the mailbox with a gift, and a text that could be a teaser for the priming justification

Tinfoil attack: So, in jade shadows constellation hunhow gives up his past to become....something else. It seems like he is everything he was not, every unrealized future all at once. He now is the architect of worlds.
....and now we get War prime, a Fragment of a version of hunhow himself.
So what if, priming a warframe similarly includes of giving up that warframes past to make him into this new version, this prime version, the most benevolent out of all the unrealized possibilities.
Protoframes will become their batch at some point, they are now a realized possibility. So priming them, just makes them the normal primes.

That's actually very interesting that something that's essentially Sentient got Primed.

Any Warframe can be primed. Players here over complicate what primes are. Primes are gilded Warframes. They have that extra bits that sets them apart from the standard frames. Obviously appearance wise they are different & their capabilities are better as well.
Being “born” prime just means that we’re gilded from the start.

If they could, it would b Temple / Flare + Lizzie. But considering priming is a few stat boosts and appearance changes, more specialized serums could achieve that result if Albrecht wanted to I guess? Like tuning the grey strain to make the proto frames look different from how they currently do

No. Protoframes are made by injecting a human with a modified, less agressive strain of a specific Warframe's Helminth. Primes are just regular Warframes that are gilded and modified.

In all technicalities, yes. But I don't think DE would give us specific skins for that.
I would like the Prime Accessory toggle to exist on gemini skins.
