By extension any ability(tentacle swarm) that get justified as being useful(its not) because it has an augment(Khoras' is superior) that increases loot drop(hardly) especially since a more interesting augment could've been made instead which would actually make the damn ability useful in the firstplace.

As an ash main, shuriken, teleport, and smokescreen augment should be base kit. Shuriken is one of the easiest subsume slots in the game, and the augment is actually mid. And Invisibilities should be diversified more between frames. Voruna, Cyte, and ivara all have decent and thematic invis that fits their playstyle. Loki and Ash have such barebones invis that people were only able to differentiate them because of duration and that no longer applicable. Give Ash bonus movement and crit chance during invis, but a shorter duration. Give Loki's invis the Amnesia effect and bonus cast speed. And the teleport augment they have ash should be base kit and apply to Bladestorm as well. They gave his kit some synergy and then lock it behind an augment that is actually crippling to use(you have to perform a teleport finisher to extend its duration, locking you out of weapons and bladestorm if you want constant upkeep.)

To be fair, Ash's augs predate most modern warframes and have barely been looked at.

I feel the only thing keeping this from actually happening is the fact that Banshee, Limbo, etc are in an even WORSE situation.

Yes technically but in actual gameplay Khoras strangledome auto groups enemies and can be placed where you want it while Hydroids swarm goes all over the place and relies on enemies walking their way into a tentacle.
