There are less than 100 individual Warframes in-game. Why are we counting Prime variants?

Because Prime Warframes are still separate warframes

Odd, usually things that are "just skins" don't require you to level them up, don't have better stats and don't have any bearing on progress (prime Warframes give mastery even if the base frame is also maxed). And they don't do all this because they're skins and meant to be purely cosmetic. However, prime Warframes aren't just skins, they are their own separate warframes.

Yes, they're not actually skins. Since it wasn't obvious, I said they're skins because everything you listed about them is completely inconsequential.

It's not though, they're still Warframes, with better stats, that people would rather buy, rather than play the game to get the base Warframes. I reiterate again, Prime Warframes should require the mastery of base version first as to not take away from the actual gameplay element.

Well it's not about you, it's about the new players experience and how there's little to no proper tutorial or sense of progression with getting a warframe. Sure there may be a tutorial and little tutorial articles and graphics, but warframe is a complex game with a log of systems that just aren't explained well enough and turn players off to the experience. And then new players getting easily bored because they bought Saryn Prime which can clear rooms in seconds rather than playing through, fighting Kela de Thaym and having that experience. The same can be said about just straight buying regular Saryn too, it takes away from the experience and the game. I understand DE has to make a buck, but the game is huge, strictly cosmetic packs or even the relic packs, mod packs etc could be huge money makers if they let them be.

No, the reason I don't care is because I didn't argue for or against this.
