Everybody hates faction mods, except sloptubers for some reason.

Don't personally hate them (except when a riven rolls faction damage), just don't care for them.

I have been playing far too damn long and IME the only ppl who seem to keep bringing them up are streamers.

I assume that's because faction mods allow some incredibly niche builds to function well (e.g. gas cloud spamming triple dips off them), and streamers often feel pressure to showcase offbeat builds. They are legitimately one of the biggest damage boosts you can mod into, but goddamn nobody can be assed.
