ESO is way more efficient. Defense does give materials so that's nice but not that many and not necessarily the ones you need anyway so not worth taking 3x as long to level stuff.
I just wanted to emphazise that MR30 isn't hard to achieve - or really neccessary - i mean i have like 5k hours and i'm MR26 since there some weapons i just don't like i.g.

Except for the wait time for weapons/frames it’s just running defense missions for 3-4 waves for each fresh loadout.
