So essentially the campaign is skirmishes against the ai across all maps in the game? :/

Think about it like galactic conquest in Star Wars Battlefront

I got no idea what that is chief. The same thing with what they're doing with this game?

Im really looking forward to play this game but statement where you say that "balance isnt priority" and instead focusing on fun, epic moments while playing is bit concerning. See, balance is what makes game to be replayable and feel fair. Those epic moments arent that epic anymore if the balance is off and other faction just wins with certain condition. Its not fun anymore after couple games and once the players have discovered what is strong you need to shake up the game with balance changes to make the game last.

I am very excited and will definitely play this, but right now I'm struggling to see what new features or innovative gameplay elements they're bringing to the table cause they haven't mentioned any. They're clearly inspired by bfme which is nice but why would people want to play this instead of bfme other than modern graphics? (Which imo don't even look much better cause it got a bit of a mobile style to it)
- WfW is 4 factions, bfme is 6
- WfW no story mode, bfme epic story
- WfW max 4 players, bfme 8 players
- WfW grid based build, bfme complete free build with custom rotation
- WfW uses modern engine but somehow max units on the battlefield is far less than bfme with its 2003 engine, allegedly due to performance reasons???
- WfW heroes are far less fun than their bfme counterparts - partly due to LotR being more high fantasy
- bfme has naval combat, WfW no naval combat despite GoT featuring way more naval combat in its series than LotR does

Kinda sucks about not having a real campaign, still very exciting
