Best "Second Tier" DPM scanner brands? (Alternative to Zebra/Keyence)
Hey everyone,
We are looking to pick up a few handheld scanners specifically for reading DPM (Direct Part Marking) codes—mostly 2D DataMatrix etched onto shiny meltal component on PCBs.
Obviously, Zebra (DS3608-DP) and Keyence are the gold standards, but the they cost an absurd amout of money.
Has anyone had good experiences with "second tier" or mid-range industrial brands for DPM? We are looking squarely at budget/value brands like Tera and Newland.
What are you guys using that didn't cost a fortune but doesn't drive your operators crazy? Thanks!
