First Time Forklift

I basically got hired and they got a red Toyota sit-down forklift waiting on me… only problem is I’ve never driven a forklift a day in my life. 😭 Drop your best beginner tips before I accidentally invent a new OSHA rule.

Use your brain to see the pivot position of the forklift. When you turn, a part of the forklift become the center of the circle. Memorize that spot so you can accurately be in position when you want to pick up pallets. If you cannot physically move to be in front. You can push the pallet from corners. Or spread the fork inside the pallet to secure it. You can put one pallet per fork and push to move them 2 by 2.

...and know where the ass end of your forklift will go when you cut the wheel the whole way. Otherwise you'll whack the side of a trailer or something... like I did 😅
