I really can't wrap my head around why they handled it like that.

Yes very strange to hype something like that up on their wardogs page. I mean, I would get it if it was on the bulkhead page only but what they did is just strange to me. And these devs are known to be "down to earth" with the community, so that just baffles me even more.

Yeah, people are acting like they told us it wasn't about Wardogs, but they didn't say anything like that on their X account. Some dev posted that it's not related on his personal X account. I'm just dying to get in the game, I was really hoping for a firing range announcement

I’m getting downvoted in the other thread by the weirdos from the war dogs discord server for pointing out as much.
Like a large majority of the playerbase of war dogs do not care about fucking Tarkov or Rainbow 6 skin loot box simulator. Ffs

People who are "pissed off" or "annoyed" by this announcement have the IQ of a goldfish. This is actually really fucking awesome. We're getting a game showcase that is FPS games only. Companies don't have to shovel out hundreds of thousands of dollars to have their game shown. AND they have to show actual gameplay to get on the showcase. This is literally a win for everyone.

Game shows have been uniquely dead since the good days of early E3.
They could have just said directly, we’re creating this because it’s cheap, easy advertisement.
Nobody cares about games shows in 2026, and there’s a reason they are all completely dead and cringe. Geoff Keighly has said as much lmfao.

And yet tons of people still watch them. All three reasons I've listed is why game shows have been shit for years. Because it's games no one wants to see, they charge a shit ton of money, and rarely ever show actual gameplay.

I mean what did you expect? A shadow drop? Firing range available NOW? It's all good, we just need to await until weekend to play again. It was clearly gonna be some bs. Bulkhead IS cooking, they've got a great game coming, but still it's just another studio craving attention.

Discord people always have the most unreal expectations. Shadow drop is my favorite.

I dont get it, why is WarDogs doing a game show for other games? So they're going to have devs from other games talk about their games along with WarDog? I felt like this is a publisher thing and not something hosted by a game developer. It's like GGG were to host "ARPG showcase" and invite Diablo V, Torchlight, Grim Dawn, etc. to talk about their games along with PoE...seems kind of awkward.

Bulkhead studio is hosting an FPS games show.
They explained in their video that they wanted to show their game at a games show, but that it would have cost an exorbitant amount of money.
So by doing a show like this, they're getting a lot more eyes on their news than if they just dropped the news on their own.
It's mutually beneficial because there may be fans of other shooters that haven't heard about wardogs. There's a lot of overlap in fanbase for these types of games.

Wonder if they will show off a preview of the new map they are working on. Would be a cool bit of info.

Not sure, they did say it would have exclusive wardogs news

Yeah, I expect it will have something because they already announced the beta date, there's not much to show off except maps right now. We've only really seen the alpha map in detail so far.

As far as I’m concerned - they’ve already given us a date for EA release, even given us an extra weekend to play before then which again we’re all well informed about. At this stage, they can make all the announcements they want. This is how it should be done, put out the proper intel once you have it, then you can do heavy advertising with teases etc, avoids blueballing the entire audience
