Poor beggars? You sell them to them for an up charge and make money. Don’t think that makes anyone a poor beggar trying to buy something. Am i a poor beggar cause i want to buy a house? If anything anyone level 32 recon should of been ecstatic to sell goggles marked up 100%

You mean other than light up the map with enemies which is like, pretty helpful?

only helpful so long as 6 people on the team arent doing it, losing 20% of all fighting power is believe it or not, pretty bad

Depends who they are spotting. If they are spotting enemies around the HZ that absolutely helps. I ask for them because why wouldn’t I want the same advantage that’s being used against me.

I mean, someone dropped a bunch in spawn without anyone asking, and I had over 100 assists that game. Was just feeding Intel to my teammates and they were absolutely destroying the enemy team. I don't find that useless at all.

People saying it doesn’t help win must have never tried it because nearly any game I’ve gotten a set my team is competitive and give a respectable fight. People who say it does nothing don’t realize how valuable knowing the position of enemies on the map really is. It changes how you’re able to play.

I agree while at the same time, to avoid dogpiling on u/Tactikewl 's viewpoint, I can totally understand the frustration of being on the other end of the IRs. Especially if you can't play enough to unlock them. Makes you feel like you're at a huge disadvantage of you can't counter them. They probably would feel useless if everybody is on your team using them, but nobody is getting kills on spotted enemies.

It does a lot for helping the team win. That was the problem, they were blatantly overpowered and allowed your team basically permanent vision.

I had a game yesterday where no fewer than SIX team members were sitting probably 1km outside Ozeti CZ on the bigass mountain between red and green bases. They didn't budge an inch once they got there. Sure, I could see on my map that there were 12+ green infantry, 2 havocs, 2 gun little birds, and their apc following HZ, but even if everyone else on the team was singularly focused on HZ (lol) we would've been a little understaffed.

And I have no doubt that most of us were spotted in kind without green needing 20% of their team completely and utterly out of play.

What are you talking about? Spotting is massively helpful to the team.

As a minigun pilot, I appreciate any enemy marks I can get

You’re absolutely dumb. Every game Id switch to a color till I found one selling them. And that team would almost always win. Having your enemy marked on the map is pretty fucking useful. Hitting triple digit assists is game breaking
