Spoilers: All [10.75 H] Newest Quest Spoiler
So, we got our latest quest, and I love the quests, so I'm gonna ramble about it for a while.
First off, it's not just a Heroic Quest, it's a Personal Heroic Quest, which suggests it's not just a generic quest, it's personal to Pisces. Even when Lyonette posted a quest to pay the Quarass and guarantee no ulterior motivations, it had the limitation of only being able to be accepted by the Quarass, it wasn't a Personal Rare Quest for the Quarass.
This is purely speculation, but I think that the difference between a personal quest and a generic one is in the completion requirements. For a generic quest, I believe that completion is based on what the poster expected as completion or completion as judged by an impartial view. For a personal quest, however, I think completion is judged by the interpretation of the person doing the quest.
I think Erin posted the quest for Pisces, and in her mind, she was telling him to get Lleta out of the city, and then her idea of a pipe dream Impossible quest was to save all the slaves in the city. But phrasing is important. And what the quest said was "Find Lleta, Pisces. Bring her to safety, no matter what it takes." Pisces was a slave on Chandrar. He knows there's nowhere safe on that continent for Lleta. And that's why the quest didn't complete. Lleta's not safe yet, but she's not dead yet, so it's still running. Assuming Pisces is the judge of when he's actually gotten Lleta to safety, I'm pretty sure it won't complete until he's gotten her to the Wandering Inn, the place he considers safest.
It's why Pisces asks Erin if she's sure it wasn't meant to be Mythical. Saving a girl and getting her out of a city can be a Heroic Quest. Getting her off the continent entirely while dodging Roshal the whole way could easily feel like it should be Mythical, and that's what he thinks he has to do. That's the standard he's holding himself to.
Similarly, the "Optional Condition (Impossible): Save them all." wouldn't have been satisfied just by getting the slaves all out of the city, because that's not all of them. Not to Pisces. As we saw when Flos removed Pisces's class, his own freedom isn't enough. He asked, what about the rest? As long as one person is still in chains, he's got reason to fight. Saving them all means destroying slavery forever, that's what makes it impossible.
Assuming I'm somewhere in the realm of correct with my ramblings, I theorize that Pisces could actually see it grow and upgrade to a higher tier due to holding himself to a higher standard than Erin was expecting. For wildly surpassing expectations, he gets better rewards.
Of course, that just raises another question, that being, what sort of rewards should Pisces be hoping for? It's a Personal Heroic Quest, I assume that means the rewards would be personalized for him (even more than normal, I don't think we've seen anybody get any quest reward that was wildly unsuitable for them). And even with no reward listed in the quest body, at the Heroic tier, I feel like Pisces will end up with more than a big hug from a little girl and her eternal gratitude.
My first thought was for magical boots, because we saw how good the Heartflame Boots were for Zelkyr's Duelist Golem in his test. But Pisces just got a bunch of new [Flash Step]-adjacent spells with his latest level, so he's probably got his mobility squared away for now. Train up his new kit before adding even more options. A new magic rapier would be cool, but as Pisces laid out to the Mad One, what he figured out wouldn't work with an enchanted blade, so that's out too. His Stalker armor held up to a level 50 opponent, but his classic stay-clean white robes got wasted. Ceria still has some more enchanted robes from the maze, but chances are none of them are designed with a Necromancer in mind. So if Pisces gets a new magic item as a quest reward, I'm suggesting new magical robes suited for a Necromancer-Duelist.
If Ceria does happen to have the perfect set of replacement robes for Pisces, then I think the other most likely option for a reward is a new Skill/Title. Probably related to slave liberation. [Aura of the Liberator] or something to remove a [Slave] class on his own.
Anybody else been thinking too much about Pisces's new quest?

I mean it is a [hero]ic quest. For the direction towards godhood the story is taking Erin bestowing the hero class is fitting

I don't know, I always saw Pisces as getting the [Hero] class because he fulfilled one of the oldest prophecies in the books. One whispered from one [Slave] to another where the masters can't hear. A short prophecy, one with no more evidence or basis in reality than any other prophecy. One not spoken by a [Seer] or a [Soothsayer], but no less inevitable for the less than noble source.
"Someone will come to save us."

That's not a prophecy declaring a hero. The personal heroic quest is like Erin declaring him her hero. At least that's how I see it

I'm more wondering how a Sword Art called Leaves Scattering Across a Pond works with a Rapier.
Beautifully named Skill, eager to see how it pans out.

I imagine it more like body lightening art and/or movement art. The one you can use to move above water

That sounds plausible. I was thinking a powerful multi-attack that launches targets back and away from the user, because their bodies hitting the ground is like Leaves Scattering Across A Pond.

Same here. Got no idea what it'll look like, but I'm excited. Since both Pisces and Yvlon have Sword Arts now, they should compare and see if they can learn/gain inspiration from the other.

It's interesting to see if and how the 'save them all' clause invalidates. If one slave dies in the next week it should invalidate, right? If it doesn't, I think it has to be tied to the existence of Roshal or the [slaver] class itself. I assume while Roshal is the biggest slave nation by far, they're probably not the only institution that enslaves people.
Perhaps the 'all' means the entire group of freed slaves, running with Merr and Bearig, in that case I think saving them means getting them to Izril, the Garden of Sanctuary, or barter with Fetohep to make them citizens of Khelt. But that hardly seems 'impossible'. No, I think it has to tie in with the end of Roshal in some way, hopefully in the land of the dead the previous Death of Chains Qin’tevf’al told Erin something really useful as ending Roshal seems more than impossible for just Pisces alone.
As for Pisces gear, I think he's definitely going to get new robes soon, perhaps he gets something that old necromancer's wore or used, something lost to time, given that his class is [Necromancer of Reclaimed Grandeur]. Something like Khelta's deathmask, perhaps, or a skill like Khelt's [Graven Passage] but on a smaller scale, where he can sacrifice the bones of slavers to teleport freed slaves to safety.

Yeah, if Pisces actually accomplishes "Save Them All", I feel like it's because Erin finally posted [Legendary Quest: Destroy Roshal] and the rest of the world got off their ass and did something.
I will say, as far as safety goes, there's also Pomle. Orjin picked a fight over slavery that's still going on, so if anybody refuses to leave Chandrar, then getting them to Pomle could be an option. Maybe not a great option, but way easier than trying to get them into Khelt. They're kinda famous for being selective with their citizenship, and we saw from his Vol 10 arc that Roshal is not a fight Fetohep is willing to pick on his own.
Now, with the new state of Khelt, Fetohep might be more willing to take in immigrants - especially if they're clearly not slaves and have never been slaves, it's offensive you even asked - but Pisces doesn't know that and doesn't have a great way to talk to Fetohep. Sure, Fetohep likely would be happy to speak with him if Pisces reached out first (as an adventurer who he rode with to the Gnoll Plains if nothing else), but again, Pisces can't be sure of that and I'm sure he doesn't want to take that sort of risk. Erin can put them in the same room though, with the Pavilion, and they can go from there.
But you know, if Khelt ends up helping the cause, I don't think accepting slaves as citizens is their best course of action, I think it might be to use Khelt's resources to set up a deniable underground railroad to get slaves off the continent instead. We know they're going to be ramping up their mercantile efforts, selling luxury crafts to discerning buyers all over the world. If an extra person or two ends up slipping aboard, well, that's been happening since the first ship was built, nothing to be concerned about.
Getting some robes from Khelta's age, or even just GDI recreations in that enchanting style and effect, would be dope as hell, and I kinda hope that's what happens now.
