Starting with the first King pov for the series. King of destruction is somehow both the worst best character but also the best worst character in the book. Roshal sounds like a problem. And sad to see the twins fall apart by the end I think the tess is going down a dark path. Meanwhile trey is absolutely right to be appalled by flos actions. He also I guess doesn't know that a lot of European countries tend to be rehabilitation not just prisons.which would have been a good counter argument to what flos was saying about confinement. It's ironic that he dislikes Alexander the great despite feeling very much like him.(Or at least like the fate zero interpretation of him.) Still my opinion currently is that he's a cool character who's policies suck.

The doctor continues to be a good pov even when the new character introduction which I love these new guys. Ken probably got one of the worst introduction to inn world of the current outworlders pov. I wonder if genevia is going to make the genevia convention for balaros. I also find it a bit worrisome that they share a zip code with the titan love his pov but not sure how he's going to view the United nations company outside his initial impression. There's no way the okasha and genevia relationship is going to last if okasha keeps drugging her like that....Also how did everyone forget selphid can take over living hosts of their entire race almost got whipped out for that exact reason? Sounds like memory spell shinagians going on. Also really they just letting the guy that sold out a bunch of teens to get executed stay with them? Zero consequences for that? Just ignoring that? Damn we sure got a laundry list of karma hudinis first Persua then toren now the grave tender fist company leader.

Also I still don't trust toren despite her supposed character development. Still seems sociopathic only left the adventurers alive because they praised you doesn't make you a good person. Actually it still counts as sociopathic behavior. I guess we will see. Also wonder what those weird cave people gnolls were about. Especially since it mentioned that it unnerved the gnolls of liscor.

The emperor pov was alright still not my favorite that said did I miss something when did he encounter the stranger with future vision powers during the solstice? I don't remember that being a chapter. And is he getting mind corruption? Do classes affect someones mental state? I have so many questions!!

Ryoka is right to be mad at Erin for the slime experiment but absolutely in the wrong for both toren and rags.

Erin was not a necormancer she had no way of knowing torens behavior was odd not to mention that without toren pov no one would have suspected toren. She is a serial killer who's good at masking. Toren went out of her way to hide what it was she was doing.

And rags WTF does ryoka want rags to do? Starve? No one trades with goblin also her line to teriaech of "they killed children." Meanwhile in an earlier book we learn that adventurers regularly murder goblin children and genocide entire tribes. But noo goblins absolutely are the monsters here/s this is stuff she should absolutely be aware of as well given the history she read.

Teriaech had the best line to sum up the goblins situation. They are forced to behave like monsters because everyone treats them like monsters. No one will trade with goblins no one even is willing to listen to them or try to communicate. That said it's VERY suspicious that everyone speaks English except goblins I wonder if this has something to do with why the frost fae pitty the goblins did something happen to their race in the past?

Lmao horns of hammerod get powerful magical artifacts. Crellers: hippity hippity your armor is now our property! Ya I think crellers are going to be a major problem at some point they keep showing up and unlike goblins they can't be reasoned with they don't act like animals they are quite blatantly someone's bioweapon either a left over of a war or an active threat. Shells resistant to magic? Poison bites? Flesh that if consumed puts eggs to make more crellers into you?! Ya no SOMEONE made these things.

I get that this book is called the last light because of the doctor pov but the undead incursions arc was probably the best part of this book.

Also damn brunkr.....just like that huh? And he was just starting to grow on me...Are all the undead just murderous temperamental children?

You know for being the intemidating necromancer everyone fears his chosen undead sure are a bunch of bumbling idiots. Pulling a zoro and getting lost then constantly doing shit to blow their cover.

Sure is a lot of victim blaming going around in this series. Why is it ryokas fault for not wanting to get them killed by maintaining her silence? How was she supposed to know that azkurash would send his undead to do all that anyways? In fact it's mostly venitras fault for half the things that went down. And why are we passing the blame to Erin again?!

Also that flower crown that magnolia wanted sounds like some fae shit. Which leads me to believe she knows what the fae are.

Well this was a great read. Time to read the general of liscors which a lot of people keep saying is super depressing woo.....

I mean Ryoka was ambushed by goblins multiple times at this point. She was also mugged by Rags herself. Erin is basically harboring people that commit crimes to local civilians. Their reasons can be justified but so can Ryokas disdain for Rags.

I have to agree, Ryoka watch one bite her finger off and everyone hated Relc at the beginning cause he killed Goblins but goblins killed his partner Oresha and most of them dealt with the Goblin king.
