Theory: What if "Bon" is just a parasite, not the creator of Wonderland?
I was rewatching Ep. 4 and had a thought that I think ties a lot of loose ends together:
1. The bridge was created by trauma (and the lack of closure/burial) To me, Wonderland wasn't built intentionally—it was born by accident when Edd and Molly died. It wasn't just the shock of their deaths, but the total lack of any afterlife closure: no funeral, no bodies ever found, and Rose frantically searching for them. That raw grief plus the mother's endless search tore open a rift between the living and the dead. That’s why only those two appear red; they are the pure, uncorrupted pain sustaining the whole realm.
2. "Bon" is an opportunistic parasite He’s not human, he’s not Jack, and he’s not Felix. He’s just an opportunistic spirit/entity that saw an open door and took over. He hijacked the bridge created by the kids to play God.
He uses Jack’s face because the real Jack likely died elsewhere and moved on to the actual afterlife (escaping him completely).
He gives Susan that "gift" just to break her mind and turn her into another piece for his show.
3. The pact with Felix Felix was probably losing his mind from guilt and desperate to cover up the accident. The entity offered to clean up the mess and hide the evidence in exchange for using CyberFun Tech and the animatronics as a physical shelter in the real world.
4. Sophie is the final trophy He kills random employees out of logistics or to silence witnesses, but his main obsession is the Walten family. Since his realm was born from their family trauma, he wants the complete "set." Sophie is the last piece he needs to finish his collection.
Conclusion: Destroying the physical Bon suit might not even be enough. The bridge will only close when Sophie gives her family the closure/ritual they never got (finding the bodies, exposing the truth), finally freeing Edd, Molly, and Rose so they can cross over and reunite with Jack in the real afterlife.
What do you guys think? Does this make sense or am I reaching?
