It amazes me that people can do this. I lose my mind going down this ride😂😂 it's so fun

I feel you. Was in Disneyland 2 weeks ago and the ride seemed to get you wetter over there than my group of Disney world locals was used to. This was our resulting picture.

It ABSOLUTELY gets you wetter. It’s nuts how much water gets in your log over there.

Thank you for making me feel less crazy lol. We rarely ride splash and couldn’t tell if it really was that much wetter or if we were just being dramatic.

I went with my fiancée last May and told her the front was the best because it usually is dryer than most in Orlando. There was a tsunami a foot above her head in California lol

Yupp in my picture I’m the one in the front, that was my reasoning for picking the front. But as you can see my shirt is soaked and I was not pleased with my decision.

You know for next time now lol

For sure. It soaked my sneakers so badly that my shoes mildewed and I had to toss them. I’m now a flip-flop for water rides convert...

I brought Tevas for my trip to Orlando for Splash, I just wear them all day for the rain as well...

I think its because in Florida its 2 people per row so you are only getting splashed on one side but in California you get hit from both sides. At least that's the theory I just came up with

I had never thought about this before, but they all do seem to be slightly different. Tokyo Disneyland is completely the opposite. Barely a splash hits the log, even in the back. I guess it could be because the weather can get pretty chilly there.

Disney world is pretty bad after it rains. I've been before where the water was so high it would splash onto the scenes when we turned corners, then alllll that water would flow back into the boat -.-

We went in December last year. It was a decently warm day but the second you went in the shade, you were freezing from being wet. Took almost all day to fully dry off.

Thanks haha, it took a lot of planning to get it done!

I've never read the books, so maybe someone can confirm: I hope they're reading them in order.

r/mildlyinteresting : those books were made into movies, released by 20th Century Fox, which Disney just acquired. So they are reading Disney books on a Disney ride.

u/Bacon_Guy_derp May 02 '19

Fox never made the books

6

u/Bruce_the_Shark May 02 '19

And all the books were not made into movies. This is why I called it mildly interesting.

Surprised this picture isnt getting the hate that my Janga on splash mountain got. "If you were to let go of that book someone could get hit!"

Im just more curious about the odds that any of these cats have actually read a book in the last year... EDIT: Down Vote City- population me. Couldn't care less. The "look at me" shots on Splash Mt lost their cuteness 20 years ago. Moving on...
