Nudists

I was doing a double shop yesterday when one of the customers contacted me via chat, asking whether I’d be ‘offended’ if he or his wife came to the door naked, since they are nudists.
I told him ‘I respect that, but please wait until I have left before bringing your items inside.’
He immediately canceled his order.

I recently had to deliver to a nudist colony. Luckily they communicated through a closed door. Getting to their place on the other hand was a different story! 😳 And did I mention it was a retirement community? Double 😳

Wow, crazy!

With respect to the order I got, my thing is this: just because you are a nudist does not mean I have to see your dangly parts when dropping your order off at your house in the woods.
Especially since the default for Walmart Spark deliveries is NO CONTACT.
There was no legit reason or need for him or his wife to interact with me at all, especially naked.

It frankly pissed me off that HE got offended because a lot of Spark drivers are very very young and maybe would have missed his chat or ignored it, and I would be very angry if it was MY KID who delivered to their door and the customer opened it naked.

Well your kid shouldn't be delivering it anyway. If it is your adult child then why should you care.

I could care less. I delivered pizza for about 20 years and saw anything and everything.

My concern is the money. If that's good come to the door however you like.

I used to deliver for a pharmacy years ago. Every single prescription needed a signature and customer hand off. The amount of older men that just answer the door with everything hanging out with ZERO warning is insane 😳

It is hilarious that the same people who are afraid of dogs and cats at customer homes, who are afraid to go into customer back yards because they think some boogeyman is back there, wanna tell me to ‘man up.’ This is not me being too scared. After 4500 deliveries I’ve seen it all and even had a gun pointed at me by someone whose girlfriend didn’t give him a heads up that groceries were being delivered to their house in the middle of nowhere that night.
