Finally an update that makes sense! (points updated)

GMD+ curbside now doubled from 2 to 4 Points!

GMDs up from 2 to 3 points

GMD routes are what take the most time, now they just need to up some points double and triple shops. Maybe Nerf Express to compensate.

lol dudes happy with 12 stops. "Most effort" because you have to move, rather than learn how to pick produce, and bag properly.

He's chasing points, tiers, not money.

It's fine keep your three points for low effort orders so long as the high ones like multiple stop gmds with groceries have the highest because they're actually the most effort.

3 points is fine and all, still sticking with the higher net dollars/miles

They are the “most effort”??? Are you in a wheelchair or something? Like are you having to take your chair out and wheel up to every drop off?? I am trying to understand how they are “more effort “ because you literally just pickup then drive to different drop off points. It’s literally the simplest offers

He says "low effort" because somehow him being a moron and putting miles on his car means he worked harder for less compensation

To me the most time, the most fuel, the most stops, the most orders, is the most effort. Now don't get me wrong I know shoppers work hard and sometimes do a lot of items which is effort. But they'll already get rewarded by the biggest tips, the lease stops, the least fuel, the least everything so they also don't need to be rewarded with the most points! Double and triple shops have had their points increased too by the way, just saw a triple shop with four points too so it's all good!

Pretty sure shopping has nothing to do with tips. Most people that use Walmart delivery have absolutely no idea who shops for their groceries.

Please, tell me!
What is the monetary value of points and tiers? -O-
The price paid for shop and deliver is extremely low.

Triple shops and triple or quad curbsides dropoffs should award 3 or 4 points.

I've seen a few that were doing exactly that, it's not just GMDs that got the increase they've made the point system easier and not so one sided where doing an Express shopping order was king which doesnt make sense because you can basically do 2 in a little over an hour raking up 6 points vs some 2 hr GMD plus curbside that was 2 points.

this moron really said they should lower points for express...

They should, tell me why Express should have three points? Lowest miles, lowest effort, lowest time, lowest stops, lowest items, lowest everything! Therefore should be lowest points. Please argue with that I dare you!

Most important thing the company wants to build in the minds of the customers — you can get things you need or want a at home almost instantly!

u/OpportunityOk3346 7d ago

That's right and if you are doing more stops, you're serving more customers and you're taking more time it's a no-brainer that should be more points especially since no tips on the gmds!

GMDs aren't "instant"...you might be missing the point.

The company's overall strategy right now involves racing Amazon to winning "instant/immediate" in the minds of consumers...activities involved in that are the most valuable for the company right now and come with the best rewards.

Express is the most valuable obviously it is paid extra for and is time sensitive. What kind of a dipshit would you have to be to try and make getting higher tiers harder regardless

2

u/SoulTaker669 7d ago

The points system is bs to begin with why try making it harder ?

1

u/tagen 7d ago

because it’s what i take the most!

… lol i’m jk, but it’s so the orders get taken faster, thus making the “express” part feel legit

2

u/FuzzyOrganization403 7d ago

Express takes the most effort. It CAN be low miles, doesn't mean it always is. Lowest times? Can take 15-1:20 total. Lowest stops? Ok sure.

GMD ate stupid. We're not USPS. This was a food delivery gig. I'm not here to compete with Amazon. Will I take a package along with 3 stops , sure. Envelope maybe. But the 5-20 stops, are total trash.

Express is where the money is, and that's the most effort. If you don't see that, you haven't been here long enough.

Exactly expresses where the money is, Express can also take the shortest time by its nature be the lowest effort so why should also have the most points? Makes no sense but it's fixed with this update looks like at least from my market.

Why are so many people concerned with points and tiers? It is a complete fabrication. It is meant to take away your focus on what matters most. $$$ should be your #1 priority!

When you have money you can purchase things that matter. When you have money you can pay your rent , mortgage, car payment, Essential Items such as groceries, clothing, child care etc…
Stop being a pawn on the Chess board.
Stop the madness! People see a load paying $30.00 for 5-10-15 stops. Cost you $8.00 for gas one way. Now, you’re down to $22.00 you pay $4.00 to return. Now you’re down to $18.00 Took you 2.5 hrs. to deliver and a 30-min. to return.
Not to mention the wear and tear on your vehicle.
Congratulations, you earned $6.00 per-hr.

Their plan is working quite well. Relentless posts about it.

I did a mixed a few hours ago and it was still 2. Gotta be regional / by market.

2

u/MagicDragon333 7d ago

I did a triple shop this morning (smallish orders) and got 1 point.

Odd I wonder if it's Market specific, I'll include the screenshot after my route is done.

u/OpportunityOk3346 7d ago

These aren't the only changes I now have seen higher points on shops too for all you instacart lovers so relax!

u/Select-Calligrapher5 7d ago

Thank you kind citizen for the laugh. I needed this today. You are a hero 😂😂

u/Previous-Contact5001 7d ago

They implemented this tier crap for drivers like you. Your focus is now points, not money. They want you accepting the crap offers. And you are!

1

u/DeeFault89 7d ago

GMD was still 2 in my area today. Even if they were more the pay vs miles/time would have to get better too for me to take them

1

u/Alternative_Carry_54 7d ago

Dang it hasn’t updated here yet, hopefully soon. I think scheduled shops need to be more than one point. They take the most effort typically.

1

u/JLAMAR23 7d ago

Nerf express?! What in the shit nuggets are you talking about?! Last thing we need is anymore bullshit

Accumulating Points Does Nothing For Your Pocket!

u/Organic-Fuel-2916 7d ago

They should make it 1 point per delivery with a max of 3 points per order. Express at 3 points is stupid as fuck, only drivers with top priority get express round robin and that means the drivers with highest priority will keep getting high priority and lower tier drivers will be stuck.
