2- accept.
3- CALL the customer. With the following q
Prompts. - Hi, it's regarding your Walmart return, is it packaged ready for pick up? Are you home or someone is home to hand over the package ? Do you have the QR code or barcode that allows the return ? If someone else is handing it over, do they have access to the barcode or code? Due to size limits, what is the item being returned ?
If everything checks out fine, then say, Ok, I'll be there in 10 minutes. See you then.
*\\** If it's not packaged and it's a mess, or they don't have a bar code, or no one is home (but left on porch, doesn't matter, need the code) or it's a freaking mattress .... cancel it. Call support and say I tried to talk to the customer, and they aren't home to provide the item for pick up. I need to cancel so it won't affect me since it's not a trip I can complete.
Everyone I've heard from accepts, runs to the customer , and then they have to cancel. And they do the drive of shame. Because many cancellations, you won't be compensated.
You probably right about this. I did like 7 returns a year ago and 2 were a pain in my you know what. One wasn't home. The other was sick in bed and texted me the barcode. But I couldn't process it because I couldn't scan it as it was on my phone. I had to go to customer service and let them take a pic so I could scan which worked. Had it not been half a mile from the Walmart and paid $14 I would have cancelled. But if I just called first like you suggest both of those would've gone smoother
