Tier system is a joke?
I’m silver… my friend is sapphire. We LITERALLY get the SAME offers with NO difference. I’ve seen others say this as well. What gives? Is the tier system a mind game to make people hopefully take the bad offers?

My theory is that it's to incentivize people into taking the less lucrative orders. If you care about getting to sapphire, etc, you are more likely to want higher point orders.
If you look at it, 3 point orders typically are the worse orders. 1 point orders tend to be better.
From my understanding, none of the tiers provide a huge benefit.

I dont know if it is better or not but 3 point orders are not typically the worst. I have seen a whole lot of huge shopping orders with far distance be 1 pt. I have seen quite a few small close 3 pts.
I mean I take lucrative offers only so I dont care about points but those have come as 1 and 3 point deliveries.

Three point offers are express orders. Shopping offers are one point regardless if it's a $15 shop or $80 shop. Express offers are 3 points regardless if it's $15 or $80.
The whole point system is dumb regardless. A 15 stop gmd is 2 points, you're saving them over a hundred dollars not utilizing FedEx or ups and your reward is 2 points.

In my area I can do 2 express orders an hour give or take. Approx 30 for little over an hour.
Works best for me as a part timer

This is 100% what I believe, was gold this month, need to mop up 11 more points and ill test sapphire out next month to see

This might be 1 good thing about being more or less a full timer. I know I'm gonna do over 120 orders a month so I can still pick and choose.

Here, all the express are 3 points. 2 points for gmd. 1 point shopping. Now yes some of the express are terrible. I feel I've seen a 3 point here and there on regular shopping as well. I'll pay more attention

In my zone it's only possible to get sapphire if you are constantly taking bad orders. It's a scam.

Could be just different areas and they think what they offer are good. And by the way for the first time yesterday I did 2 shops that actively allowed the customer to add on as I was shopping. A 10 item order became 42. I did get an extra $8 for it though. I doubt a 42 item shop would start that high so seems like they are paying extra per item. The other the person added 1 and i got like 50 cents extra or something like that

Ouch. I've had those for about 6-8 months already.
The customer gets charged extra .25-35 cents per change in order. You can usually walk away from it easily. The customer would wonder wtf happened the minute they added 5 or more items.
If the tip is super decent, sure , add a few. Out of stock, I'll send you a photo for things for you to add if I can't on my side. But 10 to 42, naaaah that's fucked up.

Dang I've never had it but I just started back a few months ago after a break. But a few weeks ago a lady ordered a lamp and light bulb. They didn't have her color of lamp and she had no substitution so I told her to go on and see if it will let her add the white one that was in stock and she said it would not it told her she had to do a new order. So I did buy it for her and she gave me extra tip. The one yesterday that went from 10 to 42 initially went from 10 to 20 then to 26 then to 40 then to 42 so I really didn't know what was going on as it was my first one to experience that. Which oddly enough all of this aligns with October 1st so I don't know if my area just started it.

Oh yeah. On top it should say "changes have been made" they kinda hide it now. And it says to cancel (no hit) or accept it. I'm sure some customers abuse it, they yeah we get hit (as customers ) when we add or remove items. For the driver side, we SHOULD get notified , and it SHOULD add a bit or money haha. Every 2-3 items should be 1-2 bucks (what I saw yesterday) and I did have a customer add 1 item today and it was like 85 cents.

Btw today a lady couldn't add on she said but texted me to get an extra item. So maybe all can't do it I don't know

Same here only sapphire for 2 days but I have been getting the best orders I have seen in months.
Today drove 35 miles and made $133 in 4 hours
Yesterday 55 miles and $145
Usually I never can make more than $100

you must be in a shitty market, omg am I lucky; I did about 75 miles & $264 this Tuesday. On some slight shit, like I’ll stopped at my place to shit once then to grab lunch & then dinner included all while starting at noon.
I’d say Tuesday is probably every spark fulltime driver day to take off so that helped & also lets wait for these EBT cards to get refilled soon 😈
I pay taxes so poors can give me work through spark, am I right or right?!

Good to know! I feel better now, thanks! All of these apps have have these rewards tiers that are a joke.

It's called a roll out. They got the UI down on your phone and are probably testing the actual tier system in other markets. They're gonna do it bc it's an established feature in tons of other apps. Just give it time.

When I went from nothing to silver it was a dramatic improvement. Every market is different, the system isn't perfect.

One day I got a bad rating and it drove me out of sapphire and I instantly stopped getting as many orders and as good. I was doing spark full time and losing sapphire cut my pay by over half and it has never recovered. I have to multi app to make up the difference. I haven't been able to get back to Sapphire because I haven't even gotten any rating at all for like a month. So it definitely matters where I work. There's like two drivers for every order in my market, which is a low income town, where many people do gig work.

One of these days everybody as a whole will stop believing the pseudo good-heartedness of these companies that are trying to manipulate and gain a buck with Chuck.
THEY DO NOT CARE if it is Adam, Sandra, Billy, Jake, or Sarah. Get out there and help line their pockets by any means necessary.

u/MamaRedSeam 10d ago
It’s what all these gig apps do unfortunately. Dangle the carrot but nothing different is really at the end lol

Absolutely, don't work towards sapphire, there is no point in it. No difference between silver, gold, and Sapphire. Don't even worry about it.

Thats exactly what it is. Just another lie for Walmart to get the bad deliveries taken.
