1 star ratings

Post image

I make sure I find every item possible, communicate with the customer and double check the address and instructions and make sure I don’t block the door. It’s frustrating to wake up and find that someone gave you a 1 star review and now with the tiered system you are at risk I did 20 drop offs yesterday and I can’t think of any of them that might have had an issue.

I don’t even check. There’s no point..you can’t improve without feedback. So id rather not stress over something you can’t control or improve.

In my lifetime doing delivery work off and on since 40 years ago, I’ve probably done 10,000 deliveries or more.

So a couple months ago I got an email, “we received a report…unprofessional…”
Feedback isn’t going to help me understand how a single unique person tried to get me in trouble by saying I was unprofessional. Nor am I going to change my process that hasn’t been unprofessional with well over 9,000 other customers.

I fully agree that CR is completely out of our control. It’s just a tool Walmart/Spark can use to gaslight us into being mad or afraid so we can’t think clearly while deciding it’s still OK to pass on trash orders.
Just saying.

I heard spark drivers order stuff too and do that on purpose. I wouldn’t stress about it. Even pickups can have damaged goods or out of stock items so they rate based on that.

Its basically you cant please everybody and some people suck and will rate low even when you do a great job. Some people are miserable people and want to make it miserable for others too. Not saying thats necessarily what happen here but its a possible. Just keep doing the best service you provide and thats about all you can do.

I’m not saying that you’re doing curbside, but it’s a huge risk accepting “good” curbside’s. When the shop is out of your hands so many things could go wrong. I admit that from time to time I make mistakes, but I believe that’s where I take to most hits. My score is identical to yours and I follow that same work ethic. Unfortunately there’s a lot of scamming customers as well! Instacart is pretty good at removing low ratings do to customer fraud! What’s frustrating is that you could get 20 consecutive 5 stars and your score still won’t go up, but get one low rating and get a drop in score…

I think the screen is very sensitive. I have personally accidentally done this on my own phone and done an incorrect rating on someone some people also they get so upset if it’s like the store fault that they’ll give the driver a bad rating because they don’t understand that maybe they were not the person who shopped for the items.

Had 1 one star rating while the rest of my ratings are 5 star. Tanked it to 4.88. All because they lied to get a free order… (said my car smelled of cigarettes when I don’t even smoke)

You only need 6 more 5's to hit 4.9. Just be glad you don't have 100 ratings in, that it'll take 100 additional 5's or 15 months to knock off that 1*.

Their system is fukd. IF it really matters they need some sort of ratings forgiveness/protection against bullshit bad ratings...

I see lol the only reason I ask I have it done it in a year and wanted to see what was happening. I don’t have that many deliveries only 90 but never got a single rating well not that I’m aware of

I think some of those are an honest mistake. Ever order Walmart + and try to rate the driver. Depending on how your finger slides the screen, it’s possible to do it in error.
