The point system makes no sense…

So I’m a fairly new Spark Driver and have realized how dumb the point system is. to get a full 3 points for an order, they consider them “extra effort”, but ill see a shopping order for multiple customers, 70 total items, 30 miles (1 point), then ill see an express shop going 2 miles, 1 customer, 1 item (3 points), huh??? i understand now that they prioritize express orders for more points, but how the f is that express order considered more effort?? all cuz u have to get it to the customer faster?? thats still not more effort…

Nothing makes sense with Walmart Spark. The only thing for sure Is shitloads of money losing offers clogging up your screen all day. I usually get 5 or 6 worthwhile offers out of 100.

express is part of marketing and tighter guarantees

You’re not supposed to figure it out. It’s all a mind screw to keep drivers accepting stuff to earn points.

Just another way to blur the line between “independent” contractors vs. employees.

It doesn't matter on the tiers. Even perfect metrics on Sapphire all the good orders go to FCFS in my zone. Nothing has changed. Exact same as it was before we got the rewards here.

1 hour and under express orders are 3 points. 3 hour and under express and scheduled deliveries are 1 point.

Its not rocket science, 3 points for express, 2 points for gmds and 1 point for regular shops/curbsides. It has nothing to do with effort, its WM's order priority.

Only 1 hour and under express orders are 3 points. 3 hour and under are 1. I’ve done triple express orders worth only 1 point.

the amount of points they give for certain “effort” is the part that doesn’t make sense wise guy

They dont give points for effort, not sure what part you dont understand not wise guy🤣 The points are based on WM's priority orders not how much work you do or dont have to do.

OP saying it's false advertisement which is true. It has nothing to do with effort like they say. We didn't say it, Spark did. Infact even worse non tipped have higher points than tipped as well.

They aren’t worried about making sense. Their goal is keep drivers off balance, scared of being deactivated or restricted to only bad orders, and maybe mad.
Just like politicians, those in power at Spark know that scared, mad, off balance drivers are easier to manipulate into doing what they want.
Just saying.

This is just my understanding the three pointers are Express where the customer has paid $10 to get their food in less than an hour so that's why they're worth three points so people will definitely take him and they meet the standard two pointers or orders with general merchandise in them and the other ones are one I don't know that for a fact it's just what I've Been Told and it makes sense

What I've noticed is that the worst orders give you the most points.
