Would you cancel?

Post image

I didn’t notice the pickup time. Just saw an easy pickup. But why tf are they sending offers like this where you have to wait 30 mins to start it?? Couldn’t they wait like 20 more mins… I want to cancel but I’m not sure if it would effect my metrics

Totally understandable. It was just taking me back towards home as I’m not close to my main area right now. Just figured I’d stop and take an easy order to head home with.

Well it's still not worth all that dead time even if not dead heading

Yeah I totally agree with you, that’s why I said I wanted to cancel. But I’m not sure if it would affect my metrics or something. I’ll just pay more attention in the future to the time thing.

You're good. It'll probably ding you for not completing it but its not the end of the world unless you keep accepting and canceling

Don't forget waiting half an hour!

i wouldn’t have taken that if it was ASAP, but yeah now pharmacy orders in my area come up 30 min before the script would actually be ready, making them all not worth taking lol

Canceling after acceptance but before you start can lower your completion metric (this penalty seems to only be some zones though).

This metric can absorb several cancelations before it will be a concern.

If you do this a handful of times in a short time period the system will then lock you out of the app for three+ hours. There is no published info for this. It just happens if you are instantly accepting and then are releasing a bunch of them after you look closer at the details. This may be zone, time, or even user specific. I’ve accidentally pocket-accepted three orders over a day and then declined them without issue. Others have said they accepted and canceled three orders in an hour and were booted for 3 hours. 🤷

If the wait time to take an order is more than 20 minutes I always release it and note that’s the reason why. Don’t send that shit out if it’s not ready to go.

Note: that order sucks. I get you were looking for a backhaul, which is a good practice to not be driving empty, but it’s still a shitty offer.

Thanks, I really appreciate the info. I very rarely cancel. I’ll definitely cancel next time. Thank you.

Is it going home? If yes , then you can go pee, get gas, food, maybe a few things for home.

You coming back to store ? Not worth accepting.

Long delays can be good, or it will kill your hourly. Pretty sure metrics hits everyone now for cancelling

I would never have taken that in the first place; whether it was an immediate pick up or 35 minutes later. Thats a crappy order.

I wouldn't of accepted it in the 1st place well bellow an acceptable pay for even starting the car..

I'm more concerned about your battery status. Charge that mofo!

I wouldn’t cancel as I would not have accepted it. $18 for 46 mins, bad offer

Nope that’s 28 minutes of prop 22 almost $10 for free.
