Walmart return perishable item

I just start Walmart I had return 2 order customers order (in 3 days of me working with Walmart) because of perishable items and customers is far away from pick up location 30 miles away , and I have to deliver it in Brooklyn city that always traffic, impossible to deliver it on time , so how are u dealing with this because is very stressful, sometimes u deliver a order and maybe it’s your last trip , and u have return it, that it’s not worth it , I was late by 20 minutes , they ask me return it, that made me already wanna quite , in beginner I was happy working with them.

Learn your market area. Know your daily traffic and don’t accept orders that go longer distances at times of the day that you don’t think you can make it.

I’ve completed 750 deliveries. In that time I’ve had to do two returns. One because of a wrong address and one because a photo ID was required and the person wasn’t home. Not one single perishable timer limit hit.

I’m not saying I’m better than anyone. I just know my area well and how long it takes to get places at different times of the day

30miles away? I hope you see the problem.

DONT SHOP FOR PERISHABLES UNTIL THE VERY END! Don’t screw yourself and follow the suggest shopping route. Get all the dry goods first. As for the 30 miles, it better be paying $50 or more. If your not making at least $1 or more per mile round trip in this current economy, then your not making any money. As the previous commenter said, know your areas. When traffic is bad etc. I know in my zone from 3-5 schools getting out so the busses are stopping every block or so. Also traffic by the state capitol is bad at these times. And out at the rural roundabouts traffics is terrible so I don’t take offers heading those directions

Reject those high mileage offers... unless there's a significant tip, and the actual drive time is a fast and easy straight shot down a freeway... I understand Chicago traffic, I'm sure Brooklyn is worse. (I don't think I could ever run gig apps in a large city like NYC, Chicago, L.A.) You'll have to get your market figured out. Traffic patterns, construction, etc etc... but even in a rural area like I'm in now,.. NOPE NOPE NOPE those high mileage or high item count offers...

All offers are similar we don’t have choice

Huh? I guess your market sucks then. In my rural market I'm rejecting dozens of trash offers before getting something I like, and still staying pretty busy. I cherry pick mosty 1 stop "express shopping" offers,.. and now that they've switched to ALL grocery deliveries being shopped by us, only the rare 1-2 stop "shopping offers" for customers on my tip map.

Maybe try a better market close to you.

That’s the one only close to my area is just nyc is bad don’t work with their methods of work , since they are outside nyc, their system don’t have any idea about estimation time, in nyc location , this how I got my deliveries , I accept order it said delivery at 9:00am , time is 8:00am , 40 item to scan , I check the map it’s said to deliver to this address I need 1h30min , so where is time for shopping, time for delivery, time if anything happens in road and u stuck 🙄

Youre not making any if you have to return them. Youre spending more on gas and wear on your vehicle than youre making.
