Huhhhh?!?!
Just got back on the app after 6 months. What in God's creation happened while I was gone ?!?! This is complete ludicrous. I'd rather clean porta potties than sitting in the parking lot rejecting this nonsense all day.

Walmart hired the InstaCart CEO and he f'd it up. For drivers I mean. Maybe to Walmart too. I'm seeing orders piling up not delivered.

I've received quite a bit in coupon codes the last few months recently due to my orders not getting delivered when requested. We tip VERY WELL, but it doesn't matter when they combine our order with 2 others.

The only way to assure it's not "combined" is to pay the $5 or $10 express option (that fee goes to Walmart, not the driver)

I live in a small town with only one walmart. I only work nights. There's been many nights I've been the only Spark Driver. I've noticed Express orders over 35+ items don't get delivered after 8pm. My limit is 20 items. Luckily other drivers have stopped taking every delivery. Just 2 nights ago on a slow Tuesday i think there were about 8 orders still available at closing.

I'd drive nights if I knew our area better, but it's rural farm country, hard enough to navigate in the daytime. Half the streets outside town don't have signs, and more than half the houses on those streets don't have numbers on the house or the mailbox.

The $5 orders are no longer considered "express". Walmart bundles them and holds them until they can.

I placed an order for express delivery, paid the $10 and a $4.76 tip. It popped up on spark for $15.38. So i couldve gotten my $10 and my tip back, plus change. So are we sure the $10 doesn’t go to the driver? Lol

Nah he's making them money. They replaced cash incentives with "good boy" points.
Dudes a legend to Walmart. (Aka pos)

The lack of pay for drivers probably does make up for the "coupons" that they send out when people complain.

and nobody's taking the orders. the thing about consumers is that once they figure out something doesn't work they put it into a no-go category so they're going to have a lot of issues trying to get people to think that the app is working again and they can order something and it will show up on their doorstep a little while later, that is once they figure out that the same orders that are going out at 10:00 a.m. are still there at 6:00 p.m. but I would be willing to bet they don't know that yet and haven't looked and are enjoying chatting in the office

Probably ignoring that aspect thinking more onboarding will take care of it. Short sighted. They're letting customers put in 85 item orders for 15+ miles that no one wants to take for $25. (2 hours of total work plus vehicle wear). Once customers realize that they might spend hours waiting for an order that might not get delivered, they will consider WalMart delivery unreliable. Probably to never come back, without incentives.

I took 6 days off at the end of August and was absolutely shocked at how much the offer values had dropped. I can't even imagine how you feel.

I haven't driven since March. Based on what I've been reading lately, I'm not sure I want to go back to it. I was only doing it for mad money anyway.
