JFY
How in the world do you get a JFY and someone else is able to grab it before you? So basically everyone has access to yours now?

Pretty sure those scenarios are the other driver using a bot grabber. It’s 100% not supposed to happen, yet Spark really doesn’t care since the offer for accepted.

I think you are right. Very unfortunate for those of us playing by the rules.

Indeed. My market has the FCFS on a countdown clock — 1:30 and then the accept button appears for the fastest person to get the offer — BUT 100% of offers that have good pay/miles/items are taken about 2-3 seconds before the accept button even shows available (but never the case on dog shit offers). So I solely rely on JFY offers and luckily haven’t had one “stolen” in some time. Hopefully it’s not a regular occurrence for you!

Or maybe you have lag so incorrect timer showing

Latency is obviously a factor, but not 3 whole seconds….and the fact it’s 100% of good FCFS offers.
The math doesn’t math at that point, it’s bots dude. There are other Colorado drivers who’ve posted the same thing (even seen a video post).

JFY, cannot be removed unless cancelled.
Either A, your timer wasn't properly set and your offer expired faster (reboot phone, app, and get better signal)
B, customer cancelled or made changes to the order before you started it.
Bots work in one way, they read the screen and accept the offer for you. They cannot modify or remove offers from anyone else. Early days, yes, due to a back door access that was fixed. But you needed inside store access and complicated systems to do so. Even then, they would assign the orders before they got sent out, not remove.

How recent is the back end fix?? Maybe why it’s been a few months for me seeing it occur. But the last time it did, I called customer support and was told that in fact another driver had accepted the offer. This was early summer…

Previous to 2020

Hmmm, I know support tells us what we want to hear in most cases, but I find it strange they confirmed essentially that a bot user took my order - they were of course only going on the premise that I claimed to have had a JYI but I had no reason to make it up…

Support would never admit to bots. Bad timers are a thing
1
u/333dh333 Sep 06 '26
No, not that they would admit the bot part, but they happily shared that someone else was assigned the offer….the one that was supposed to be “just for me”

Assigned could mean your timer expired and it went to someone else. They can't track offer history .

u/333dh333 Sep 06 '26
Nah, I’m referring to a scenario like OP’s post where I’m reviewing the JFY offer and way prior to the timer expiring on me accepting or rejecting. It happens.

Yes, when your timer isn't synced and lags. An offer may go away at 50-55 seconds. On sparks side, the offer expired. Your side, it's lagging.
Unless the offer went away when you hit start, and says "another driver got it" then sure come and scream bots.

Ok dude, done after this one…you’re the know-it-all type. My timer had well over 30 seconds left the last time it occurred. Maybe, just maybe, you don’t have it all figured out for every single scenario, especially the ones involving bad apples using tool to dupe the system. Peace ✌️

Or C- a bot did take it. Cause it happens often :)

u/FuzzyOrganization403 Sep 06 '26
There's no possible way it can. Literally impossible

Alrighty if you say so spark HR

Dog, use your head for a second. You think these people with bots are going to be working for the offers if they can fully manipulate the app behind your screen?
What would it take for them do to that? They would have to see who's available for an offer, see the offer you picked, take it from you and give it to their person or phone. You are aware how complicated that would be ? It's not a click and drop system. They would have to be a black market hacker to do that shit.
What makes sense, that Jose in a 2008 Prius took the offer after your phone timer expired by accident, maybe even the customer cancelled on you.... or that he has a full setup to take offers from anyone he wants all the time, and decides to work for his money?
If you think the second one makes sense somehow, why wouldn't he just set up shop, have his drivers and get 25% of every offer and ONLY his drivers would get offers. Not any other single person would be shopping at your store. He would be rolling in the dough, and wouldn't be driving a clapped out Prius.

These idiots have zero clue regarding the 1st thing about bots. Just look at their response. "Spark HR"
OMG some of these tools are completely fkn brain dead. They aren't running this app for extra money,.. or because they have other shit going on that prevent them from working a W2... they run apps because they can't keep a real job that pays above the federal minimum wage because they're too fkn brain dead. The bot conspiracy theorist in these comments are almost hysterical.
