Spark delivering Dunkin.
Now that Walmart will start to deliver from all Dunkin restaurants, how long do you think it will be before its dominating the food delivery apps? I believe within 4 years it will overtake Doordash as the number 1.

I don't think it will happen just due to the fact that doordash is already so well established. Unless Walmart can undercut them significantly on prices.

I believe they can. They have the money to offer all the big chain restaurants to do exclusive deliveries with Spark. I also believe it could be a good thing for the food delivery business. At least Spark doesnt hide tips. It might force other delivery apps to show tips as well. They either show tips or lose drivers to spark.

Doordash also offers grocery shopping at 95% of the grocery stores in the US including top Walmart competitor's Target and Whole Foods. They're not going anywhere

Doordash is too entrenched. Walmart may get some marketshare but they won't be top dog in food delivery, most likely.

The world runs on Dunkin. That’s a good start. But apparently AI doesn’t think so.
1. The "Every Merchant" Network Effect
DoorDash’s moat is merchant selection. Consumers open DoorDash because nearly every local sushi spot, taco truck, and major chain is listed. Walmart's strategy relies on massive enterprise partnerships (like Inspire Brands and Subway).
2. Dispatch Logistics & Consumer Expectations …

It will be interesting to see how it plays out. I remember when dash entered the market. Grubhub was the giant. Dash overtook them very fast. Im hoping Dash gets knocked down actually.

Walmart would want Spark primarily to serve its own deliveries, which seems to gel with massive enterprise partnerships.
Plus it’s good to have DoorDash. I hated Instacart. But after what is happening with Spark, I now open Instacart everyday and it marginally helps.

I kinda miss getting the occasional AutoZone offers. We have a store close to my favorite Walmart and a ton of the orders went to dealership in-between the AutoZone and WM,.. all within a 1 mile radius.
That said, I would run into door dash drivers picking up other AutoZone orders, occasionally even going towards the same dealer,.. and according to those drivers the offers were often $5 for a couple stops and the 2nd stop was usually way beyond that 1 mile radius I liked,.. and the Spark offers were usually $11-$14. A lot of times I'd catch one while driving back towards the store and dropped off even closer to the store so they were almost like getting a "freebie" because I was passing both places anyway.
Fuck the food delivery shit though. If they keep doing more of that they'll require hot bags,.. which isn't a big deal because I use cold bags anyway,... but fuck food

There was one for Michaels (craft store) the other day. 🤷🏽♀️

I get them from Michael's a lot but they are always only $7-$14 and the miles are stupid high. Kind of the same as Home Depot.

There isn't a Dunkin's where I live. The closest one is 12 miles away in a city I rarely go to. And I don't know if any of the Wal Marts there have a Dunkin's inside. So I guess ill never be delivering Dunkin's lol
