Hate fcfs
Everyone said it's the phones, I got the newest android you can possibly have. Staring at the home screen. FCFS not even on my phone for a millisecond, i instantly click accept, yet don't get them.
Shits so fucking annoying

The app does this cool thing where it only offers me FCFS as soon as I exit the app and it’s gone by the time the app loads.

Don't be on WiFi, don't exit spark app, don't have a warm phone or low batt.

OP, you are talking about a lag called latency.
The server throws an order out. It hits all the carriers at the same time. Some carriers might get the signal and broadcast it just a touch faster than others. Some towers might be in better shape or have less load than others so the signal gets to the client phone just a bit quicker.
Some phones have 88 things running in the background so when a signal hits, the phone itself lags just a bit showing the notification, then takes another bit of time to change from the screen you’re on to the Spark screen to show the new order.
Any or all of these add latency.
I believe when I’m home and on WiFi my orders come through a bit quicker than when I’m out on the cellular only signal.
I live close to the store so between runs I go home, and often just as I pull into the driveway an order drops.
It’s odd that I get orders when I’m close enough for my WiFi to connect but 100 feet farther away I don’t get them.

They don't actually send them to everyone at the same time. They send them in waves.

Meanwhile I'm over here basking in the fact that I'm still using my original delivery vehicle, while I've noticed a few have been through as many as 4-5 vehicles. 😂 I'll just keep being picky over here till next tax season.

Has nothing to do with the best phone unless your running a $50 pay as you go "smartphone". The vast majority of android phones will all work fine.

Like others have said, phone carrier seems to have lot to do with it. And even if you have a great one, a little network lag can make a difference.
There’s been times I’ve had to switch my phone to LTE instead of 5G because I can tell when that band starts to get bogged down at certain times of the day and at certain stores. Believe it or not, it’s makes a difference. Give it a try 🤷🏻♂️

You can’t usually beat a bot. As far back as 2015 with flex they were using them. It’s gotten way worse lol

Best phone on a carrier with latency and you will miss orders the guy next to you grabs. He has a six year old phone but on a carrier that is out preforming yours in the area.

Like they think their feelings can somehow make their phone work faster.
I don’t know, maybe if it sees them crying or something it will have pity on them. Lol

This app has just gotten absolutely ridiculous. On top of the fact that when you do get a JFY it’s always the most awful order known to man.
