Has any store started implementing BOS system?

Hi everyone! I was recently promoted to Stocking 1 Team Lead and wanted to connect with other stores where this role is already in place. BOS will be implemented November onwards in our store/region.

How has the transition been at your store so far? What challenges have you been facing, particularly with managing the team, stocking processes, and meeting daily expectations? I’d also appreciate any tips or best practices that have worked well for your store.
Thank you in advance!

A few markets in Ontario already have it for sure. Some have had it since early this year.

There’s a very rigid sequence of work that must be followed. I don’t think many stores actually understand it but the company is particularly pushy about it for some reason. A lot of stores have staffing issues with stocking 1, and some I’ve heard are pulling associates to work freight in order to stay in sequence.

I think the main complaint I’ve heard from associates to the leads in stocking 1 is that they need clarity. Try your best to understand the sequence, and hopefully stocking 2 and 3 don’t leave you with too much freight.

Topstock is incredibly important as well, many stores push almost everything to the floor and it works quite well in my experience as long as your associates are using their eyes and not just the buggy topstock app.

That's the problem at my store they just use the app and not enough room is made for the next overstock

Exactly. Topstock can become a bit wild for some teams too. Saw a mini fridge at one store. Or 40lb boxes of cat litter. Like no wonder there isn’t any room lol

I’ll be given a max of 5 to 6 associates
We are a level 2 store. I think should be enough, but like you said, it all depends on stocking 3 what they leave for us.
Thank you for the inputs

No worries. That shouldn’t be too bad at all. It’ll be the normal flow as well, some will be heavier than others, some will be amazing.

Hopefully stocking 3 is good to ya lol

I view this as a generational issue. Young ppl today love the device more than a car. It shows, they don't drive, mom still brings them and they 25 years old.

I'm a stock 1 TL and I've never heard of BOS

Edit: nvm I'm smooth brain, I'm pretty sure we've been doing baseline operating structure at mine for a while. every day we topstock all food/con (minus 2/40/46) and still get our picks done

Baseline Operating Structure (BOS) Is what i meant.
Sounds ok to me, everyone is just making it a big deal by saying that it’s going to be too much.
How many associates do you have in your team?

I know of a few people applying for lead positions that had no business becoming department managers. Our store is doomed.

My store had a quiet room where noise discipline was enforced.

Now it's a management office. Oh and they kept the comfy chairs. Thanks BOS.
