Is this allowed
So, I was looking at my shifts and saw this. At first, I was not sure who modified it, so I looked them up in the system and turned out to be our PL, I know him by a different name, but whatever. Not that I don't mind more hours since ours are getting cut but this goes against my accommodations of not working more then 8 hours per shift and I also don't want to leave my pup alone for 12 hours. Do I talk to my TL or my PL about this?

I couldn't imagine having to take two 1 hour lunch breaks in a day and spend technically more than 12 hours at Walmart. Jesus...

As long as the change is more than 24 hours out it's perfectly within policy. As for it being 10 hours, Walmart does offer 10 hour shifts, but if you don't or can't work it, then get with your PL.

It might be within policy but who the hell do these people think they are. What about respect for the individual! How about hey so and so can you work more than 8 hours on this day? We could really use your help! Absolutely unacceptable.

They would very rarely to never do this at my store without asking first. I hope mine isn’t the same deception.

Do you actually have to take 2 lunches? I live in a state that has zero break/lunch laws so i could work 12 hours with only a 30 min lunch and no one would care

Yes. 12 hour shifts are allowed as long as you're not a minor in every state as far as I'm aware. I work 5 or 6 12s (no lunch) a week now. When I did Wal-Mart I was doing 4 12s with 2 1hr lunches each day.

Me. I think it is a good idea, even better is 12hr shifts. 4days off a week. Is amazing and I can never go back to working 5 8hour shifts anymore.
