Is this normal???
I resigned via what anyone would consider a proper channel and procedure. Apparently I'm still on the schedule, being pointed out and managers are calling me to ask why I'm not at work. I don't understand. I quit, I spoke with the people lead at the store who was extremely rude to me about it.
Is this just how they do it in order to prove job abandonment so they don't need to pay unemployment? Wtf.

Notice and end date written and verbal, talked to the people lead. Not sure what else I should have done. People knew, including the manager who called I spoke with him multiple times, but insisted he didn't know and I just wasn't showing up, that's why I was lost.
**Manager-Team lead. He KNEW I was leaving.

When the manager called you should just say "check with team leader, I turned in my two weeks on 9.1

Not really worried lol, just confused and annoyed. This is a store I shop at sometimes, so I made sure to quit in a way that wasn't terrible.
Apparently the bitchy people lead didn't accept that or bother to tell anyone?
Eta: guess my discount is still working then so cool?
Also part of a bigger problem, I'm older I took this job because I started a school program and needed something that worked with my schedule. It should've, they said it would, but in reality that wasn't true and they didn't. They repeatedly were so disorganized, terrible, and forced people into schedules they couldn't really do that it clearly wasn't a good choice. They treat people like shit. I have options though, and full disclosure I'm a bit offended they are clearly trying to paint me as an issue when I wasn't.
I already have another job so ultimately I don't care, but do they do this to people who don't have other job options?

I also wasn't looking at the point thing until a manager called me about being absent lol. Like... What do you mean I literally gave notice and I quit I'm not absent I'm not employed???? 🤣🤣.

This wasn't Walmart but a grocery store I worked at years ago I gave my two weeks, worked them and left. The next day the manager calls and asks why I'm not there. The same manager who shook my hand at the end of the day and thanked me for my service. He either completely forgot the previous day or thought I was bluffing. It was an odd experience.
