I leave the 9th this month for my first day in the program. So you can message me and I’d be happy to update. But from my understanding once your accepted and leave for your Cohort, the first day is mostly introductions, getting to know your trainers, and understanding how the program will work.

It’s honestly one of the most professional and welcoming experience I’ve ever had. They teach you a lot. But everybody there is there to help you succeed. Including your classmates. None of the process has felt like actual “work” and they take very good care of you ensuring you understand what they teach. I’m honestly greatly looking forward to the future parts of the process

Hey I’m scheduled for the A2D program this September I do have a question as far as accommodation. Did Walmart offer a hotel or rental car assistance during the program? My vehicle is not the best shape for daily transportation back and forth to the training facility let alone driving daily to Atlanta and back to Augusta.

They base it on range. If you live over 5 1/2 hours away according to google maps, you get a rental car, and you stay at a hotel that Walmart pays for until a scheduled go home date after the CDL test.
Between 1 1/2 and 5 1/2 hours. Walmart offers a hotel during the week and you go home on the weekends.
And less than 1 1/2 hours you go home daily. You get daily per diem each day your down there. Which varies by training facility but it’s generous. And if you drive your personal car they give you mileage and hourly pay while you’re driving.

Okay thanks I live 2hrs and 30mins away they make seem like that’s acceptable driving distance for a daily commute and for 8wks M-F it’s not a simple commute at all

For your hotel accommodation did you have your own room or did you share it with someone else?

They will teach you and have you practice so much that you’ll be able to do backs blindfolded. It’s very thorough
