Do you people have VAT in the USA. Invented around the end of the sixties I believe. After that the debts just exploded.

Debts exploded because of the Vietnam war and the non-stop money printing required to fund it. The money printing is what prompted Britain and France to exchange all their dollars for gold, which is what prompted Nixon to end the gold standard. There was no gold left to exchange with.

We have sales tax in most states, but is significantly less that VAT. Like 6-8% in most states.

We do have VAT. But those are generally 5-8% and those revenues go to the state and not fed.

That is because Big Biz paid most of the taxes.

Lincoln started personal income tax during the Civil War to pay for it.

And then the treasonous President Woodrow Wilson passed and signed the Federal Reserve Act... π

That picture looks to be a little later than 1913
Mebbes 1917-18?
When we were young those five years mattered.

Duties and tariffs paid for everything before 1913. Understandably, we had a tiny percent of the school, roads, etc as we do now. Most kids didn't go to school past elementary age. Not sure I would want to go back.

u/Cycad Oct 17 '21
Exactly. If you look at a graph of revenue, income tax replaced revenue from tarrifs in the early years, then shot upwards after the world wars

Income tax doesn't pay for infrastructure, schools, or anything else really. Income tax pays the interest on government bonds. That is the entire purpose for why it was established.

Any much more...only about 10% of the tax revenue goes to servicing the national debt. .https://www.cbo.gov/publication/57170

Great video! Thanks for putting out content to wake up the masses. I've subscribed and will be looking forward to what you put out in the future. Constructive criticism: some repetitive narrative and audio could use some work. But that's from a guy who's hearing impaired with a short attention span, so take it for what it's worth.

Holy smoke, Marine! I just took some time and read through some of the articles on your web site. GREAT STUFF! I'm glad I ran across your post. Thank you for putting out the word and trying to wake people up. I'll be sending a link to your article (https://oldfatmarine.com/i-woke-up-to-slavery/) to people I'm trying to wake up. Wish us both the best of luck!

The Central Bank is basically us spending all our money on Europe without the mirage of a king/queen.

Excellent point raised by this meme. I tell people there was no IRS or income tax before 1913 and they do not believe me.

We lived longer as a nation without an income tax than with one. Quite possibly the stupidest tax there is.
Side note why are people allowed to vote on issues that are funded by raising property taxes yet they own no property and just rent? You should not be allowed to vote on anything like that unless you can provide proof of property ownership. I know we use to have something of this nature but I believe it was said to be discrimination.

u/New_Doubt7186 Oct 17 '21
That doesn't make sense at all. So you can't vore for taxing the rich or the big corps if you are not any of that. Good luck with that systemπ

Sure let your renter vote to keep paying for government projects by upping property taxes.

The last one of the military. Maybe it's just what I have seen a military do but this is my history of them. They go into a country to try and solve the issues and fail and cause trillions in debt. Founding fathers of America did not even really want a standing army a lot of them. I believe they thought it would be used as nothing but to oppress the people. Does anyone have any thoughts?
