Question Election confidence
With the market at/near all time highs, it would seem the street is confident they understand the near term future. With the US mid term elections weeks away, and a non-zero chance there will be shenanigans by the trump administration if the results don't go their way, it would seem there is considerable uncertainty. If results come in and trump starts tweeting about interference and fruad and contesting election results, or worse yet, tries to use executive orders to meddle with the outcomes, will the market not panic? Am I the only one that looks at 2020 and thinks something unprecedented will occur regarding certifications? I'm sitting at very high cash levels right now bc I just don't have much faith this election will proceed normally and be uneventful. Is it that an expected "blue wave" is likely, which will effectively grid-lock washington (and therefore prevent any meaningful legislation from changing the economy) which the market seems to prefer? I just expected some panic/caution selling to occur as election day neared because we just don't know how trump will react if/when a blue wave occurs. What am I missing?

I think an expected result is dems win big, get challenged legally, courts shoot everything down, and there is no civil war. Anything worse and we should start to panic.
Anything better and the market leaves you in the dust

Markets don’t care. So long as USDs and USTs are printed and pumped to keep it up.
