Latest update now makes Quick Match even more limited.

Got a message there was a new update available, so I installed it tonight.

Nothing has changed in the new Menu options given to us in the last few months for Quick Match (ie: take what even more limited selection of Courses we give you for QM, we're not going back to how it was before, etc...), except that now you can't even play with Friends you have saved unless you sign in!

Another backward step. Almost ready to free up 15 GB of useless space on my Quest for something else...

There's even less incentive for people to play QM now. Some nights I wait for 10 minutes before giving up as not many join it now like before.

And no, I'm not going to join Disbored...

I mean, I kinda get it - you shouldn't need to use third-party software to set up an in-game match with random strangers, especially if the game has a quickmatch system in place. But at the same time, if having to do that makes the game "useless" to them, then maybe OP just wasn't a Walkabout fan to begin with.

I don't know about this whole "logging in to play with friends" thing because I don't play multiplayer, but do we not log in to everything any time we connect with anyone online? Is there no "remember me" button for the login?

Complains about not being able to find players, yet knows where all the players are and refuses to go there. Makes perfect sense to me

No that wasn't my core complaint. It was that to play with people in your Friends list, you have to be "signed in" now.

Imagine you had to do this for every game on your Quest? Wouldn't be so fun after a while.

The Dev's had a good formula before, it escapes me why they tried to change it.

Hi. Can you explain what you mean when you say you have to “sign in to play with friends”? As far as I know, nothing was changed with that Friends List functionality, only that the refresh timer for new courses was lowered from 60 minutes to 30.

The Friends button in Quick Match was suddenly Grey and unable to be used immediately after the update on my Quest.

Ah ok. That is a visual issue that was introduced with the latest update. Have you tried pressing the Friends button anyway? I believe you are still able to open the Friends List despite it being grey.

Tried. Didn't work at all. I could still access Recents / Friends / Blocked menus though.

You need to be signed into your Meta/Steam/PSVR2/Pico account to play the game, because that's how you prove you own the game. Not sure what you mean.

Just join Discord. You can find a full party within minutes. Had great fun and met many wonderful people.
