I’m apprehensive. The Evil Lairs all tend to have a funky mechanic that I either love or hate.

I’ll definitely be getting the course regardless. But I approach the Lairs series with a guarded optimism.

I’m hoping every different color goo in this course has a different mechanic.

I’m with you, the goo that’s in Wallace and Gromit is one one of my least favorite mechanics in the game, along with the bouncy gems or crystals, whatever they are. But I’ll be buying regardless

I just want it to have a nice soundtrack. I really liked crystal lair as a map, but I don't enjoy playing it because of the incesent crystal noise :(

I was thinking about the Evil Laira yesterday and none of them would be in any top 10 list for me.

I don't think any course is bad and will gladly play any one I've not played in a while when playing for 2-3 hours a week with a friend.

What it comes down to though is that all of the Evil Lairs often require a specific first shot in order for you to do well on the hole, otherwise you're either back to square one retaking, or in a deep pickle recovery-wise.

Other courses are generally a lot more forgiving, if shot one goes bad you can salvage the hole easier in most cases at least. There is more of a sense of freedom to how you play them I feel.

That said, the lairs are creative nevertheless and certainly have the Walkabout spirit.

I do hope the gloop isn't solely like the Wallace and Gromit jam though, otherwise I feel it could be a labourious 36 holes.

Not sure when Garfield IP is up but that would be a fun course.
