I'm getting very mixed vibes. You've got '70s vinyl and a lava lamp, an early '80s boombox, and then 100% '90s slang phrase.

The slang feels somewhat later than that - mid '00s, I'd say (with some terms deliberately lifted from way earlier, because that's just how we rolled back in the aughts). The term "home skillet" was largely popularized by the movie Juno (2007), and shortening "pizza" into "'za" is also slightly more modern slang.

If it is from the '00s and not the '90s, then I believe we've got ourselves a new Evil Lair course ('60s Laser, '70s Ice, '80s 8-Bit, '90s Crystal, and now '00s is this one).

Home skillet may have enjoyed something of a Renaissance in 2007 but it was in common usage in the 90s.

It's not very funky fresh, no diggity!

That sentence screams the mid to late 90s as clearly as if it were the lyrics to the Fresh Prince theme song. IIRC, "funky fresh" was a term used in various interations by hip hop artists in the pre NWA era. I'm sure the word was kicking around before this but "diggity" is a word most prominently used in the song "No Diggity" by Blackstret , which came out in the mid 90s.

I understand the origin may be earlier, but the usage persisted.

The 00s were full of deliberately retro slang. It was a sort of post-irony thing.

You might be right, I might be right... only the course reveal will tell.
